That's interesting. And high income, 18-34, 60+% went to college..

How do they know if I went to college and how much money I make?
If I had to have guessed, I'd have placed the Male percentage much higher than 60%. 40% women on this site is kind of shocking - they should post more.
Interesting, but how would they know if I have kids and how old I am?
How would you be able to tell whether the poster is male or female (for many posts, obviously not the more "obvious" ones) if this site is anonymous?
Actually I know quite a few girls who browse Letsrun..
The site looks legit though (just google "quantcast").
Did they determine this from who joined the letsrun Facebook group?
It says at the top of the screen that the site has not been quantified. They say 'Data is based on Rough Estimate', which I take to mean that it is just a guess.
I suspect it's based off the averages of areas where the ip addresses come from.
Interesting that Flotrack is beaten by runnerspace though.
For some reason i thought Flotrack would be a little bit higher, it's not even close.
Rough estimate, like....wild guess. There's no available data that would lead them to these conclusions.
My own guess of the male percentage on letsrun would be at least 70, maybe close to 75.
Well just look at Dyestat.com, that makes me believe that this isn't true at all. It claims that 44% of the people who visit the site are 12-17, which i believe but then states that only 31% of people visiting the site don't have college education. It also says that 42% make between 60k-100k...and then when you look at kids it just gets even more confusing it says 57% of the people have kids... This cant be right.
Always believe the INTERNET. Everything on the INTERNET is the absolute TRUTH. Never question the INTERNET. Hope this helps.
It also says that 9% of the letsrun population makes up 74 percent of the hits letsrun gets. I think.
It also says that 14 percent of those who visit coolrunning do so wearing pink man-thongs.
It appears they have taken the demographics of the average runner in this country and applied it to letsrun. Not cool.
Bayesian estimates....get used to it...
What Percentage are Gay?
Disregarding the tryathletes who occasionally post here.
and then when you look at kids it just gets even more confusing it says 57% of the people have kids... This cant be right.
I just read that the Teen birth rate was up in 26 states. Those team trips can get out of hand after we coaches go to sleep...lol

This number seems accurate to me, or maybe even lower given that the LR addicts probably post from multiple IP addresses.

I'm going to go out on a very small limb here and guess that Quantcast cannot determine WHO in a household is using the computer. The household may have a large income and have kids, but the person doing the browsing is the kid. Each IP Address probably includes everyone in the household.
Garbage In = Garbage Out.
They are only guessing at each visitor's age, income, gender, etc. This isn't worth anything, but they will be glad to sell you future reports on your visitor demographics!
