Are you trying to tell me that a 14 time all-american who finished 6th in the olympic trials 5k is ordinary? Someone who ran a 2:45 1000m and a 4:37 mile in HS is ordinary? If it wasn't for the lousy coaching at Stanfurd she would be a household name already.
lambie's got serious marathon potential.

Adam & Kara, Teg, Tim Keller, Bairu, Rohatinsky, Amy Yoder, Solinsky, Evan Jager, Jonathan Riley, Lambie, Chapa, sometimes Dathan and Jason Hartman
I think the operative word here is world class.
Lambie is a wonderful talent, but it is an accurate statement to say that she has not yet met the world class level.

This was in the Oregonian back during June that they were in that group. Very old news. Schumacher will be arriving in Portland soon as well. As of now I think that the groups are:
Schumacher: Matt Tegenkamp, Chris Solinsky, Simon Bairu, Stuart Eagon, Tim Nelson, Jonathan Riley, Evan Jager
Salazar: Kara Goucher, Adam Goucher, Galen Rupp, Josh Rohatinsky, Amy Yoder-Begley, Arianna Lambie, Joaquin Chapa

This is very interesting. After Salazar heart problems he said he would finish coaching his current athletes, but not pick up any new ones anymore. He must be feeling a lot better, or just gotten over the scary phase that came afterwards as he's clearly reversed his plan to retire from coaching after the guys he had before were done. Hope it works out well for everyone.
