The plaque reads "It is necessary to dig deep within oneself to discover the hidden grain of steel called will." It is 30 yards downhill from the Ryan Shay rock on the east side of the drive and was completed within the last week.

That phrase is part of Ryan's term paper for high school, and was used in his entrance to ND.
Where is this exactly, I would like to see it.

Ryan's Rock:
Stand on East Drive, facing north, Boathouse on your left. Head north to start going up Cat Hill.
Just past the service-truck driveway, as the road bends to the left, there is a fire hydrant on your left.
Directly opposite that fire hydrant, on the east side of East Drive, Shay's Rock is at the foot of a big tree.
