A couple of things:
1. Why the negative comments; please tell me what Bri did wrong?
2. Roger could be a little over the top at times, he made some mistakes as all fathers do, except his was lot more on display. From what I remember, Roger and his wife made incredible scarifcies for their kids and put his heart and soul into them in more ways than running. Before you condem him too much, read the life stories of the Wynton Marsalis, A couple of things:

3. Getting accepted to Harvard is no trivial matter, being a straight 'A' student is no guarantee, being the top student in your class is no guarantee--Roger and running probably helped.
4. To the person who said Bri is only top-10 in New Jersey obviously does not know NJ. The number 10 runner in NJ would be the state champ in most states. Btw - over the last 5 years only Cali and NY have produced more top-10 times in events 800 and over than NJ. And w/o a doubt, if Bri can stay healthy, she will make a contribution to the Harvard team.
5. My memory of Bri is a kid who loved running and competing; it is difficult to get a teen age girl to do what she does not want to and no matter what her father wants and every thing she has been through insofar as injuries…she would left the sport years ago. A lot of people may find this hard to believe, but in her age group days, she never trained as much or as hard as has been discussed and she never gave up on running probably because she enjoys it.
The list of young female endurance athletes who hit a bump in the road and gave up is long; I have nothing but admiration for a kid that has been through so much and never gave up.
