How do you think Kara is going to race this weekend in NYC?
How do you think Kara is going to race this weekend in NYC?
...hopefully straight into my bedroom.
Oh wait, you said how, not where. Nevermind.
With Al Sal's medicine 2:24
Au Natural 2:34
2:24:35
2:08:12, beating Alberto's PR by one second.
she will win, and she will run fast, the question is by how much and how fast
If the conditions are good, she'll break 2:30. If the conditions are good, Adam will break 3:10 and get his Boston Qualifier.
2nd
DNF
Remember you heard it here first, "Kara Goucher", will finish in the top 4. If Paula is back to her old self, she is racing against the clock; I can see Kara competing with Jeptoo, Cat and Wami for second place.
Why?
- Kara’s USA Olympic trials Olympic 5k/10k double takes strength.
- Kara has an efficient marathon stride.
- Kara ran an incredible 1:06 half marathon at a time when she was training fo track races.
-
It is hard to predict the time, but I think she if she has to run 2:25x, she can.
GO KARA!!!!
2:26:52
My prediction is the same as it was in the 5 (or was it 10) other threads on the same subject.
She beats 2:30... maybe 2:28.
I predict that she'll run well and just be cute as a button doing it.
Good post/analysis, but I think Radcliffe is still a wildcard for the marathon distance. She may have a great day, but nobody's seen anything from her this year that would make it a lock. She may run herself into the ground and crumble at mile 18, too.

I'm thinking 2:28, top 5.
Paula ran a fast 10 miler last weekend, she is in shape.

Hmm, not likely. When the weather's cool and she's healthy, she's unbeatable, according to history. She can win from in front of with a kick.
2:22
2:22:22
Due to the fact that she is so strong and able to supposedly maintain 5 20 pace (Alberto says) I think she should be right around 2 24, give or take.

How rare is it to run a sub 5 minute mile AND bench press 225?
Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
