I read it again. The US military was used to control the activities he describes and declared martial law in several areas of the country during the Civil War. He states that October 1 was the first time active military units were authorized to do this. Sorry, but that's not true. I wasn't discussing Posse Comitatus.
LOL, and the average american will circle the parking lot a dozen times so they dont have to walk more than 15 yards. there is quite a difference between that part of the world and ours. Plus my guess is most gun owners are conservative and would readily welcome a military takeover. they could then replace their 'my son is an honor role student' bumper sticker with a "my child is a member of the Bush Youth" one
