I have it from very highly placed individuals that our malignant tumor, Brooks Johnson, has resigned as High Performance Director of USATF. Not sure whether this is immediate or at the end of the 08, but this is the best thing to come from USATF in a LONG time. |

The word is that between now and the start of the convention, he's getting involved with Stephanie Hightower's campaign for president. Prediction--if Stephanie gets elected, don't be surprised if he worms his way back in some capacity--he may try to weasel his way onto the new board of directors (you can't be a division chair if you want to be on the board of directors). |

So the front page sites a "conflict of interest". He decides this now????? There's been a huge (and blatant) conflict of interest for many years. Could it be the new CEO has more balls then the previous admins and gave him no choice but to quit? |
