Awesome job, Dave--even though you didn't get your sub 3, you should be dang proud of yourself! I'm one of those on the bandwagon of keeping your mileage up to meet up to your potential as a marathon runner, and running a 3:05 for your first marathon, esp. off little mileage, shows you definitely got potential in marathons (you must be very slow-twitch). Good luck in Boston! Imagine in the future how you'd do if you get your mileage above 60/week...
