The margin of victory is more impressive.
I feel bad for Powell. He's a great sprinter but always seems to be 2nd best. Even when he was the WR holder, any time he went up against Gatlin or Gay, he got beat. Now he's got little chance of ever getting a gold or WR again with Bolt running the way he is.

Oops, I am an idiot. I thought that Bolt won this race. Then I ask my question except rephrased - Has anyone run as many sub 9.90s before than Usain Bolt?
Lifetime? I think that belongs to Maurice Greene, although Powell has to be getting close. Bolt should top them all, but stranger things have happened.
Powell clealr has the lead for all-time sub 9.9 runs. Today was his 18th, Maurice Greene only had 11.
Bolt only has 7 so far, but that's all from this season of course.
Here's how the top 100m men stack up:
9.99 or better:
Greene: 56 (+11 wind aided)
Powell: 43 (+2 wind aided)
Gay: 12 (+4 wind aided)
Bolt: 9 (+0 wind aided)
9.90 or better:
Powell: 21 (+1 wind aided)
Greene: 17 (+8 wind aided)
Gay: 8 (+4 wind aided)
Bolt: 7 (+0 wind aided)

apparently it is for you.....
what part of '9.90 or better' suggests that he meant sub 9.9 only?
