Shut up about lake shore already. go make another thread. These NYSCTC results are completely surprising and rediculous, I dont that anything will pan out next week like it did today.

ha ha yeahh they were no clarance all those guys suck anyway.
U of R may surprise some people. how did they lose to Fredonia?
yea they definetly surprised a lot of people. however, fredonia is an underestimated team. willaims runs strong, and walters and novara are a solid 2 and 3. it won't surprise me if they turn some heads next week like UofR did today. we shall see....
Stenuf really did prove me wrong. I expected him to run well at regionals and nationals but I thought he would have a tough time at a course like Hamilton. I'll remember now that a good runner is a good runner is a good runner. In this case Nick showed himself to be tough by taking second on a soggy course. well done, Stenuf.
Going on what NHS said, three guys under 26 isn't as retardedly slow as LetsRun seems to think. I'm not saying Fredonia will upset anything. I'm just saying that they've proven to be comparable to UofR on days and that they've been slowly creeping up on Pburgh. The game is on.
THE GAME IS AFOOT TREBECK!
cortaca baby!!! im going there instead of regionals whooooooooooooo!
Girls!! Cortaca is coming up!! Get out your beers, lip gloss, and prepare to get drunk!! I want us to kiss as many boys as possible!! LETS GET EM!!
just a little help for all of you going to cortaca
i would just like to throw in my bits and pices.
i think this is how the NCAA will go
1) plattsburgh
2) Oregon
3) team Kenya
the rest doesnt matter. im sure we will all agree to this
now i dont think P burg winning will be an upset at all. i mean, look how good they are. its expected
Cortland who?
I don't think Fredonia or U of R will turn ANY heads at regionals. SLU ran badly at states...no matter what type of effort they put into it. Congrats to U of R for taking advantage of the situation, but it doesn't change anything for regionals. Tom Williams will run well, but I don't see any of the other guys from these teams being in the top 40-50. I may be wrong, but really who could score the meet out that far anyways? I still think SLU is a lock for the top 5 and could finish as well as 3rd.
As for Tim Shea being back; I don't know if I would claim that yet. With his poor race at toga I'm not ready to say he's back until he shows he can run FAST.
Good luck to all the teams at regionals.
Top 5 teams:
Cortland
NYU
Geneseo
SLU
TCNJ
Top 5 men:
Kosgei
Debois
Gerrierro
Nally
Schneider

Tim Shea has been really ill for weeks now. I think his performance on a hard course in sloppy conditions is evidence enough that he's regained his health and is poised to race well at regionals. The real question is whether Drew Hodge will be Ithaca's top performer at regionals. He ran sub-par at states. If he was with Curt Bell, Ithaca would have won NYSCTC. Is he sick? Did he slip and fall? Or was it just an off day? Regardless of the reason, Ithaca needs him to run well at regionals if the team stands a chance at a top 5 spot.
tim hasn't been ill, his legs are simply too long for cross country, get your facts straight you hoser
Kopniki ran for TCNJ yesterday. He ran pretty slow, but still. Any chance that was a tune up? Will he be a factor next week?

Unless that 27:43 was real easy, I somehow doubt that Kopnicki will be a factor.

Nice catch. It may indeed have been a tuneup for Kopnicki--looks like TCNJ ran a mostly JV squad there?
I love how the NJ teams (it's not just TCNJ, by the way!) seem to be under the radar for so much of the season. The NY teams mostly see each other throughout the season, and their estimate of the NJ teams' abilities usually seems to be an afterthought: "Wow, those guys really peaked well for Regionals!" Maybe. Or maybe they just ran at the level they'd been running all year, and people finally got a chance to see how good they were.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to the Regional meet. I'm sure that Cortland and NYU just want to get through safely, so I wouldn't be surprised if they "packed up" and didn't make an ultimate effort to win--save that for next week. OTOH I think the competition for the other places will be ferocious, and I think NJ teamS will be in the thick of it.

That has to be the stupidest reasoning I've ever heard. I award you no points and may God have mercy on your soul.
1) Rochester's stock does not go up after states.
2) SLU is in trouble if that's the best they got.
3) Ithaca will not make NCAA's with or without Shea running well.
4) 27:32 is not a comeback.
5)Plattsburgh is not better than Oregon, man someone really screwed those predictions up.
6) Cortland will not sweep regionals.
7) Kopnicki will propel TCNJ to top 5 finish.
8) I agree the NJ schools are under rated, watch out for Rowan to break into the top 10, maybe even top 7 or 8.
9)SLU's men may have single handidly screwed the Atlantic Region out of 5 teams. If you run 2 of your top 7 in your last 25% of your season it counts as a meet to look at for an at large birth, and them being beat by Rochester is NOT good for anyone.
10) Rage is MIA
tempo?
You misunderstand. I'm saying that SLU shouldn't be overly disappointed with finishing 5th. In my eyes, there are three teams that are clearly better and one team that has a history of peaking well at Regionals that is still a threat.
I'm not saying they would be lucky to beat Ithaca and Pburg- the Saints are clearly better than all but 4 teams in the region. SLU and TCNJ will duke it out for 4th and 5th, in my predictions.[/quote]
My bad, man. I'm sorry if I missed your meaning. I think that it's certainly reasonable to assume that SLU and TCNJ will be neck and neck for fourth based on TCNJ's proclivity for peaking at regionals and SLU's reputation as a poor peaker. However, I think that this year's teams for each school are truly of a different composition than previous years. The number one runners for each school will clearly be up in the lead pack, but SLU's chase pack has shown itself to be consistently close to the leaders compared with previous years, while TCNJ's has not. Also, it seems that SLU basically packed it up for states, so it may not take the same toll on their legs as it has previously when they have run all out there. But, the bottom line is that we'll find out in six days.
