Where did Ithaca finish at nationals in 2003? Can't seem to find them in the results.

Okay, I used to coach at IC BITD and now I'm starting to get embarrassed. Please stop this name-calling stuff. Just let it die, please--nothing says you have to respond to someone else's provocation.
Please show the class that I remember.
upgrade will be at the pre-regional party... Hell, upgrade invented the pre regional party.
I will be getting into that shithole of a county around 6 on Friday, and be amped to bone. could be alittle late if I play mow the amish.

Sorry buddy. Blame the thickness for putting me up to it-he wanted some laughs. I really couldn't care less how difficult these people claim course x,y and z are.
To everyone racing the NYSCTC meet, good luck. It's too bad the SUNY schools won't be involved.
yeah its too bad the SUNY school's wont be putting in an all out effort of 8km and 6km 7 days before the 2nd biggest meet of the season...
For teams like Rochester and Hamilton, Regionals will be their 3rd hard meet in 15 days. When during the season did either team ever do that? The end of the season isn't the time to start doing that. If either ever made NCAA's they'd be toast by that time. Dumb planning.
Just get rid of the NYSCTC.
SLU will dominate both sides, individual and team.

Good points. Maybe just not having the meet is the answer. Although I did like having all the D3 teams in the area mixing it up. Maybe hold SUNYAC's in conjunction with the NYSCTC meet, sort of how they have the Empire 8 meet in conjunction with the Saratoga meet? I dunno.
Yeah we should make up a new name for it too, hmmmm how about oh I dont know regionals!
For you NYU and TCNJ guys out there I'm just kidding.
I've always thought they should do something similar to Ohio.
Early in the season have an "all New York" meet. Every team in New York, from D-I to NAIA to juco, is invited. This could be the new "state" meet. Just a highly competitive event that teams don't have to travel very far for. Crown a D-I champ, D-III champ, you get the idea. It'd be a solid meet with Iona, Syracuse, Cortland, NYU, and everyone else mixing it up.
Then scrap the NYSCTC meet and have the individual conference meets (Liberty, Empire 8, UAA, SUNYAC, etc.) two weeks out from regions. I loved racing the NYSCTC meet when I was in college, but with all of the smaller conference meets and the lack of SUNY teams it seems a little much.
the State meet used to be like that until the d1 schools stop coming

They have a similar meet with the New England schools, I believe. Not a bad idea....
Ghost - I hear what you're saying about regionals serving this purpose, but it adds schools from an entire other state. I liked the NYSCTC meet because it had a majority of the D3 schools in NY state and gave you an idea of who had the best team in the state.
I guess what I meant with my quip was that it would turn into such a big to-do (as regionals is) somewhere in the middle of the season. Getting a meet like that done once during the year is great but two of those types of meets might be too much. I dont really think that the host school would be able to accommodate all those schools as the host school of a regional meet would be able. The idea in principle is a good one but the time it would take and the logistics and financial limitations may be too great for the host schools coach to bear. It would be a great meet to watch though.
I really like this idea. I'd love to see Binghamton race Cortland and Roberts Wesleyan. The interesting thing with the All-Ohios is the conflict of divisions. All the hypothetical what ifs can be answered. I wonder how Cortland would fare against SU. Iona would house everybody this year for sure. Hypotheticals are fun.
Yeah, but I believe there is an "All New England" meet in addition to New England regionals. Would that really be any different than an All-NY meet and Atlantic Region meet?
Cortland would house Bing they already did it earlier this year at paul short
SU would house cortland again look at paul short
Roberts wesleyan sucks so bad why would you even include them?
I wasn't stating teams for the good of competitiveness just stating different teams from different divisions. Thats why I used the term hypothetical several times.
Former Bomber Ohio does it too. I was just illustrating the point that it would be a large undertaking for a coach too take on without the clout of being called a regional host.
Yeah, plus it seems there are already so many conference meets as it is: Empire 8, Liberty League, SUNYAC....it might just be best to dismantle the NYSCTC...at least in cross.
If I might change the subject:
3 Jesse Berube 12 07-D Ticonderoga 185
4 Lee Berube 10 07-D Ticonderoga 181
6 Lee Gabler 12 07-D Ticonderoga 176
8 Bobby Henchen 12 05-D Geneseo 174
10 Tim Chichester 12 05-D Mt. Morris 168
17 Stephen Scrafford 11 03-D Cooperstown 158
The above is from Tullyrunners Class D Nov 20, 2005 speed ratings:
1. Where is Lee Gabler?
2. What would you attribute Chichester's and Scrafford's greater success realative to the four higher ranked runners?
