how about the longer grass?
how about the longer grass?
Goddamn Kim Henn.
Hartwick has been holding back all season. Expect their top guy to be pushing Kosgei with a pack 10-20 seconds back. You guys are all bias obviously because you haven't even mentioned them.
letchworth is long thats why times are slower 5.08 by way of garmin
Wait, not only are you ranking SLU above Geneseo, but you're now grouping them with Plattsburgh, Fredonia, Ithaca, and Rochester, all of whom they've beaten pretty solidly this year?
I agree. Rage, in no way will those teams be close at regionals. As I said in my last post I think the lack of a great front runner will hurt IC. Suny P just doesn't have the man power to hang with TCNJ, SLU, or Suny G after Heymann. If SLU returns Jermey Mwenda in form I think they can make a real honest run at Suny G.
SLU is already better than SUNY G.

Nobody from Hartwick, or any other team in the region for that matter, will be pushing Kosgei. But especially nobody from Hartwick.
sorry...I worded that not so well...the next 5 positions are tough to predict because of how tight they are with SUNY G SLU...and P'burgh Ithaca and TCNJ...SUNY G beat P'burgh 60 something to 80 something at YACS and with Heymann way out front at the regional race there could be some points there...Im not saying P'burgh will beat SUNY G but its not like SUNY G will destroy them
TCNJ hasn't really showed us anything this year but they always seem to peak well...Ithaca is in the mix too...its just so close for those three someone has to be the loser...it'll definitely be a fun race to watch

They changed the course that they had marked in '03 from the one they have now then. If anything the course in '03 was short.
yup, you were wrong....
at 03 regionals the course was almost 300m short.
Now the course is legit and not VERY fast.
im in. bring drugs.

NO WAY is Lehigh 30 seconds faster than Letchworth or SLU. Boo hoo, a gradual hill! Give me a break.
You're an idiot. Paul Short runs 30-40 seconds faster than a Letchworth or a SLU. Look at every team in history that have run those courses.

Oh, so I'm an idiot because I wasn't aware that the course at Letchworth was altered and has thus become a 5.08 mile course? Well, by that logic I'm going to call you a GRADE A MORON for not knowing the intricacies of collateral estoppel. Go ahead....wikipedia that shit...assmaster.
Moving on....
Because Letworth is now 5.08, you need to take off at least 30 seconds from any time that is run on that course. That would put the course's ease slightly ahead or Lehigh's.
As for Lehigh being 30-40 seconds faster than SLU....get real. SLU's course is at best 20 seconds slower...and that is pushing it. There is that one steep hill that you have to hit coming out of the woods, but that's it. The rest of SLU is relatively flat and well groomed.
Bottom line Letchworth - .08 > Lehigh > SLU > Saratoga
The course in 03 was about 300 meters short yes.
The new course is 8k, I don't know what your Garmin was telling your or whether you were running the right course or not, but it is 8k and no longer. Instead of using a Garmin take a meter wheel to it and run the tangents.
Also Letchworth is not a very fast course at all. It is definitely slower than those other courses. It is true that there are no major steep hills on the course, but the long gradual one along the road takes a good amount out of you.
Toga is definitely faster then Letchworth, there is no contest there.
Former Bomber, maybe you just weren't running fast enough to feel the effects of the gradual hill and slow grass.

this seems probable
You're an idiot because you insult me to cover up your ignorance.
You're an idiot because Letchworth is 8k not 5.08.
You're an idiot because for some reason you don't think Lehigh is the fastest (commonly run) course in the country.
You're an idiot because you base the "speed" of a course on how many hills there are.
You're an idiot because you and your former team are irrelevant and you're trying to put them in the picture.
I can but if you knew anything about anything you would know that's what letsrun is all about. Here's an idea, change your handle and try making a different team look stupid, Ithaca is pretty much covered.[/quote]
oh gotcha bitch.
This argument is as queer as a 2 dollar bill. Former Bomber you sound like some sort of second tier law student, enough.
- I will be at the Regional- Pre party Friday night.... who else???
I'm at work now but I will post a response to the Clarkson Alum later
Moving on... So on the women's side of things, who from the region could potentially be an All-American?
