Which race regionals or sunyacs? It seems like this thread always gets hi-jacked this time of year for that meet. Although it is probably the most interesting meet of the year save regionals. I like Cortland in both.
Jesse Schneider just got interviewed by the DIII Blog:
Yeah, wrong link (obviously). Here's the actual one:

Nice battery pack
Good interview. I think it shows the spirit of the NYU team. They really surprised me with their running so far this year. I think they'll get 2nd at regionals.
2nd man at Regionals: Debois, but Nally will be Cortland's first at Nationals.

i swear to god the people on this thread are the biggest tightasses on letsrun. how much more can we talk about this f***ing race that hasn't happened yet?
here's some mad hardcore letsrun race talk for you:
do you think debois will try to increase his turnover on the frozen SLU course? i'm betting he'll take around 8415 steps. anyone care to disagree? maybe 8425?
which foot will nally use to cross the line at SUNYACS? i'm guessing a ~51% chance it'll be his left.
what color red would you say the cortland jerseys are? not quite fire-engine, but brighter than red-delicious apple. i might go with coca-cola can, but i'm no color expert.
there you go bro. drink in that running talk.

nice. you showed all those idiots who wanna talk about running on the atlantic region xc thread on letsrun.com. balla.
also, i completely disagree with your predictions. according to dr. werner hoeger at boise st.'s dept of kinesiology, you can calculate the number of steps a runner will take in the course of a race with this simple formula:
Steps per mile = 1916 + [(63.4 x Pace) – (14.1 x Height)] with height (inches) and pace (minutes per mile).
now, i havent actually "done" the "calculation" with a "calculator" so i dont have the "correct answer" to refute you, but ill just assume you're wrong because you are an idiot.
secondly, after an extensive analysis of slu's course, focusing on the 2005 regional meet since there should be similar conditions, nally's entire college career and the historical use of the flats he will most likely wear, i have determined that there is actually only a 50% chance he will cross the line with his left foot. wrong again.
finally, i took one of the cortland jerseys that i keep under my pillow to lowe's color experts and they informed me that it's really closest to an ultra premium scarlet sun.
so that leaves you 0 for 3. you might consider changing your psoting name to hanyatnats.
I can tell you with 100% confidence Dean's ass is not tight.
regionals were at rochester in 2005, renegade.
results from sunyacs?
Here are the race summaries. Awards are at 2:15 so probably won't get a good recap for a while.
7 guys under 26 for Cortland??!!
Wow. give them the national title now. They still had 2 more guys in the top 12.

Nine guys under 26 actually.
DIII #10-ranked NYU men hammer #6 Carnegie at UAAs, Schneider gets the individual win:

The Violets only seemed to be six-deep in this race, but of course it only takes five...have to wonder whether they were protecting some injuries.
The Violet women did not fare as well--injuries may be a factor there, too:

That said, the Geneseo Men of 2003 will continue to stand alone as the only men or women's team to sweep cross country SUNYACS.
Quoted for when/if it happens.
so how about that Cortland sweep? I thought it was a pretty good one.
