I might be out of the loop on this one, but why aren't SUNYAC teams racing at the NYSCTC? Is this just for X-C, or all seasons?

the suny schools are no longer a part of the NYSCTC conference due to scheduling conflicts with SUNYACS.
Plattsburgh will crush SLU this weekend @ SPAC and Heymann will kill Ramsey...again.
whoa nelly...hold your horses. CRUSH? I don't think so.
It shoudl be a good battle between those two, Ithaca and the NE schools.
that really sucks, aren't people upset about this?
It didn't all happen in the off season or because of scheduling conflicts. A lot of SUNY schools haven't been in the conference for a while now.
SUNYAC's wouldn't have been a conflict if the SUNY schools hadn't decided to move SUNYAC's. It really does suck. Now NYSCTC's are a dual meet between UR and SLU pretty much. I'm kinda sad. I'm not going to lie.
states is lame and a waste the suny schools had half a brain and realized how stupid it was in the big picture of their seasons.
Heymann v. Ramsey may not have been a great battle so far this season, but I think the story will be different this weekend. Heymann has looked great, but Ramsey ran really well in Ohio. The gap between the two has narrowed over the last couple of weeks in my mind.
With that said, if Suny P beats SLU this weekend it will be a huge upset. Everyone knows national rankings don't matter, but that don't just make that stuff up this late in the season. Without their 2nd man Suny P doesn't have the power to beat SLU. The SLU team isn't making huge jumps each week, but they have been steadily improving (see results for Kigligat, Malcomb, Fox X2, Millard, Funch, and Burnham)...something Suny P hasn't been doing. I think Ithaca has a much better shot because those guys are use to running lots of hills and might race better on the course. Hodge has run really well on the course in the past, I look for him to pop a race.

More like a Dual Meet between SLU and Ithaca.
I'm reading all this talk about how Platts 2nd man is gone for the season so that means their done. They look to be still competitive at regionals, although I think U of R and Fredonia may take them but thats as far as I see them sliding down. Plus does anyone know if he's actually done for a fact? I also think that SLU will have a really good race this weekend.
First of all, Platts 2nd man is not done for the season. I do not know if he'll run this weekend, but I can assure you that he is far from calling it quits for XC.
Secondly, why can't the SUNY schools run at NYSCTC's? They are not on the same day, according to the schedule posted here:
http://www.acs.brockport.edu/~mkrueger/Atlantic_CC/AR_blockschedule.htm
Aside from over racing concerns, why did the SUNY schools drop out of NYSCTC? What am I missing?
Drew Hodge will win this weekend at SPAC (oooh spaaaaccc!) and he'll run the entire race on his toes (as always).
dreamer! Wake up and open your eyes!
How can you say SUNY P hasn't been improving, this will be their first team race in 3 weeks since Geneseo when everyone on here was saying they were impressed. Wow, what a little down time will do to a group of hostile messageboard posters.
From what I have heard, their 2nd man has not even missed a day of running. Yernye and Lynch are just being safe. Sounds reasonable to me. 11/15 is what counts...we saw the safety first card last year with Lynch's girls and it worked...maybe its the same thing here.

The conference wanted their conference meet to be 3 weeks before nationals, just like every other conference in the nation, including NYSCTC. Makes sense. However for track it may be better for the athletes to run the sunyac within the NYSCTC, no?
I heard Yerne has not been running. People question where others have heard he hasn't been training but I question the people who've heard he has been running.
I'v have several sources that say he's not running at all. I'm pretty sure that hes done for the season. Also he wasnt their number 2 guy. He finished 2nd on thier team once with a mediocre. The only reason people think thier good is because they have a tight bunch that just draft off of Heymann. Can we get off the topic of Platts now. Whats everyone expect from TCNJ? I'm still not sure what to think of them. They have some strong runners but havnt really showed me much.
Mediocre time is what i ment
Feeding off of Heyman? I'll agree that Plattsburg does get help with someone who competes for the win at any race. But isn't that the case for like 99% of teams out there?
Talk about a team feeding off their #1, Look at TCNJ.
