If it is Hunsinger is a secret genius. Probably closer to a 4.5k

id assume it was only a 4.5k or so, but does that mean the 8k is off too? 25:11 is impressive either way
Did she graduate
or quit
Montgomery will sit out the fall and run indoor and outdoor this year and then have a full year of cross/indoor and outdoor next year when she'll be a grad student.
Althought I'm sure they could use her, the Geneseo women are doing a nice job without her in their lineup.
definitely short!
Thanks for the information.
TCNJ has gone to the dance the past 5 years as well as Geneseo. TCNJ hasn't missed going to nationals since the late 90's I think?
Are you sure it was short or are you just saying that because the times are fast? It very well may be short but does anyone actually know for sure? Honest question.
The course isn't short. It's just really flat and fast.
If thats true my hat goes off to Mr. Hunsinger and I'm willing to bet that Dr. Phil had something to do with it too.
the poll looks pretty good

...how the hell did geneseo's mens team get 4 first place votes for the poll this week?
anyway

If its really flat and fast, then why did only one girl run under 19 min last year and Ithaca's very good womens team have nobody under 19 min??? The girl who won this year was a gamely 5th 90 seconds slower last year,
http://www.acs.brockport.edu/~mkrueger/Atlantic_CC/results/2007/Houghton_Women_9.22.07.mht
, the same girl ran a 17:20 at Oswego for 4.5k on a "flat and fast" course this year. For those of you that don't know 4.5k is not 40 seconds less than 5k. Try 2 min or more. Ithaca brought a bunch of girls to St. lawrence and got spanked by other ranked teams. Their B team shouldn't have girls in the 19 min range on a full 5k no matter how fast the course.
Give me a break, maybe not a 4.5k, but a 4.6k.
Oneonta?
Are they just going to flip a switch and beat RIT who had all 5 under 27 where Oneonta's 5th was 27:54!?
oops forgot the ladies looks like the women's poll is spot on

...hah I guess you haven't seen my 10 spot from previous polls...
but they actually do have a switch for that it just hasn't worked since YACS last year
no ones switches worked last year at "yac's"...
doesn't have a clue what he's talking about
Hey learn your letrun etiquette never hijack someones name. We draw the line there. Its right after arguing about grammar and calling people noobs.
Mike Heymann is looking VERY good. If he can get faster through the season like he did last year I like his chances at AA. I like the way his running has seemingly inspired a few of his teamates to step up and run faster, good for them.
I'd also like to point out Jermy Mwenda's first 8k performance of 25:51. You have to respect that.
What happened to Nikko Viglione? I was looking for him to pull a Wager after his last track season. Injured? Lazy? I hope not.
HUGE meet this weekend at Lecthworth State Park home of the Geneseo Blue Knights.
All the SUNYAC schools minus Cortland and Oneonta will be in attendance with the conference meet being there this year.
Meet Line-up:
Alfred
Brockport
Buffalo State
Fredonia
Geneseo
Keuka
New Paltz
Oswego
Plattsburgh
Potsdam
UofR
RIT
It will be interesting to see where UofR mixes in with the likes of Plattsburgh, RIT, Brockport, and Fredonia.
I fully expect SUNY G to run away with this meet this weekend but the battle for 2-6 could be very interesting.
Heymann should walk away with the individual title.
On the women's side,
Genny, Plattsburgh, and Brockport should be a good battle. Oswego will have a chance to prove if they are for real affter their solid run at Houghton last weekend.
