He didn't call anyone out and actually he said "a distinct advantage compared to teams like NYU and TCNJ, who might not be prepared for that kind of weather. That doesn't mean that they'll place ahead of them, just that they have a comparative advantage."
How do you know it "didnt" skew the results? Do you know the results would have been the same if the race was in 50 degree weather? The answer of course is no you do not know that.

It would be especially interesting to watch if Kos and Deshane were neck and neck the last 800m. Both can drop a beastly kick.
As for St. Law. If it was anything like 2004...cold and dry. The course times can be 30 sec or more faster than a warmer, wetter day. Some runners do just handle the cold better but a rock soild ground is gonna whip you around that course pretty fast.

1. Suny G (evenly spaced top ten, solid team effort. In typical Suny G fashion, there was no definition to their top group; i.e. Tim Chichester was top guy, who saw that coming?)
2. Suny C (four in the top ten, fifth runner was 48th place.)
3. SLU (evenly space top seven. Kiplagat was a non factor.)
4. Ithaca (The return of Drew Hodge makes them pretty strong)
Plattsburg (Tied with Plattsburg, they hooked their cart to an incredible performance by Heymann)

Ithaca guys looked really good. The Plattsburg, guys not named Mike Heymann, were off their game. Cortland's top four looked really good. Kosgei missed the course record by about ten seconds. Kosgei was most impressive in comparison to the Cortland guys who also looked very fast. Nally and Debois were low 25:20s.
Geneseo was not packed up very well but they still looked good without O'Connor, I believe. Ramsey and Mwenda of SLU also ran tough.

Having watched Kosgei race many times it might be a good strategy for someone with a shot to beat him to be a little naive about what he is capable of. However, Nally and Debois could take down Kosgei by regionals and it might help to tangle with him a little bit to get a feel for how he races (I think they've raced him twice? Last year at Regionals and Nationals for sure but any other times? I doubt they met up on the track). They can have a dress rehearsal against the favorite for the national title and get a preview of the Regionals course at the same time. No-brainer, race them, Cortland. 1. Kosgei - I think they could beat him, but they won't. He'll blow a competitive race wide open with 800m to go.
2. Debois (+10 seconds)- Underrated runner in my opinion, if that can be possible of a guy who was 3rd place at regionals as a Sophomore.
3. Nally (+13)- Not quite time for his annual clutch performance(s).
4. Ramsey(+20)- He's good and probably motivated.
5. Heymann (+21) - He is also very good, Heymann v. Ramsey is a stellar under-card if the Cortland guys do go after Kosgei.
6. Suny G Pack (+25) - I don't literally think their pack will finish all at the same time but there could be a lot of dark blue in the top 15.
1. Suny G - If Cortland is at full strength the Knights will take second
2. Cortland - I don't think we'll see every varsity Cortland runner, Maybe 2 or 3 tops. Their partial squad can still almost get the job done.
3. St. Lawrence - They'll run faster than they have shown at their early races. I think home course advantage counts for something, too. <15 points behind Geneseo.
4. Plattsburg - they'll ride the wave of their early season success to a distant 4th.
5. Ithaca - I'm eager to learn more about their team. They could be much better than I give them credit for.
