So, I think I told my ex my password once, long ago, and then forgotten about it. Months after we broke up, I found someone had gone into my account, and obviously I suspect him.
How can I prove who it was?
And what kind of trouble can he get in?

"I think I told"
0% chance this works
you have no proof and can't even remember if you told him
Well, I'm pretty sure I did. But is that really the point?
I need to find out who it was who went in. And mostly I want to get him charged.
Jesus Christ...
Alycia Lane is that you?
You will never come close to getting anyone charged especially if you gave them the password. That eliminated any expectation of privacy.
You should have changed your password

I can't imagine why you two broke up.

You suck as a person.
But to be fair, your ex may or may not also suck as a person.
How about changing your password and not giving it out to anyone else? What a dumb broad.
What do you propose to charge him with? Accessing an email account upon explicit invitation to do so? What a retarded girl.

How come in the other thread you started, your ex was a she?
I gave him the password a long, LONG time ago, for a one-time thing when I couldn't get to a computer. This is obviously not OK.
Is there a way to prove it was him, or no?

WRONG. You willingly gave it to him. He is doing nothing wrong by using it.

No, not for this non-issue. You could subpoena the website for the IPS address...NOT. You are getting incredibly worked up over a minor thing which may or may not have been him! I know you're pissed and it was wrong, but for the love of God! Change your password and let it go already! There are more important things in life to obsess over.
I think it's a pretty big deal! That's my private mail!
Would Hotmail tell me where the person was accessing it from, or the name of the person logging in all those times?
You brought this issue to the wrong message board. Stop causing woman drama.
You sound like a really dumb girl and I feel sorry for whoever dated you.
Ha-HA!
What if I'm actually a dude, and I just posed as a woman because I thought I'd get more advice?
Maybe if I told you I was a guy (I am) you would help me prove it was her?
Aren't there ANY hacker-types out there?
No man would obsess over something so stupid.
Your a dumb chick.
