that Wejo is forgiven for the Baby Nationals remark? I think so. Rojo is his identical twin, and I'm pretty sure there's a rule stating that twins can each take credit for anything (good) the other happens to do.
OK, I say these guys are starting with a clean slate for the rest of the summer. Don't let us down!
First the Georgetown (or William and Mary?) kid getting AA because of these guys, and now AJ making the finals? I'm thinking there's gonna be a nice handful of coaches brushing up on the rulebook this summer... Nice job, again.
AJ my man. i'll talk to you later bout this, but you are a lucky motha f***a.
remember UO recruiting trip.....outkick on hayward ? fun times lucky ass
Pressure is on Aj baby. You go do us all proud now.
big hugs from an 'ol duck.
Terminator:
It would be nice for my colleagues to actually READ the rulebook. We had a head coach try to protest the WIND.....yes thats right.....protest something that only God can control. We have a bunch of borderline ignorant folks within our coaching ranks.
jeez some people read way to much into everything and will not miss one opportunity to bash the vreators of the site they check everyday...
all wejo meant by the thanks to letsrun.com is that its kinda cool that something that was posted on this message board had a direct effect on the NCAA meet...and it is, im not sure why people have a problem with him saying that...
chill out
without the internet, AJ would probably be working in a car wash somewhere .... probably passing out handmade business cars to customers bragging about how he can hand towel dry a car better than anyone in car wash history.
Are any of them named Ron Helmer?

If these guys are worried about a crowd they just need to strap on a pair and run.
If they are laughing, then they are just as stupid as you. Just because Penn was crowded back in the day in a race, doesn't mean it's the right way to run a race, or that a race with less runners isn't still too crowded. The same people who'd laugh, are the same people who complained at the time the races were over crowded.
I won't name any names but someone studying for a Ph.D. would enjoy doing a sociological study by watching a coaches technical meeting, or sitting at the protest table and listen to the mindless drivel that comes out. And we wonder why people at large and administrators specifically think the track coaching profession is worthless. Coaches are their own worst enemy.

I dont think you should waste your time in the NCAA with the 1/100th vs 1/1000th argument. Take it to the IAAF. Why are 100m sprinters still measured in 100ths???
Because of precision. See what the time difference would be by having the finishing camera placed a few centimeters off. You can't reliably place the camera in the same place from meet to meet such that you would have comparable accuracy down to the 1/1000th of a second.

Actually, the timing equipment that was used has more than enough precision to be aligned on the leading edge of the finishline every time. There is a far greater chance of the lines on the track being painted incorrectly than of the camera being aligned incorrectly. In this case however, it is all relative since every athlete in the 1500M heats competed over the exact same distance on the same track with the same camera alignment. Just wanted to clear that up.
