There is a gem in this thread where a guy says he eats 20 to 30 bananas

Is this complete bullshit or what? How many pounds would that be?

Isn't it something like 2 or 3 bananas to the pound. So this guy is eating something like 10 pounds of bananas in one sitting? Forget regular basis, I couldn't do that just once.
You are what you eat. Just hope you eat 9" bananas and not 4" bananas.
Is it possible to eat 10 pounds of anything without projectile vomiting?
I'm about to barf just thinking about it. Not normal. I have a hard time eating a lot of one thing no matter what it is.
It's a lie unless he's eating those baby bananas

Say it's 2 or 3 per pound with the skin, but I bet it's more like 5 without.
5 per pound x 20lbs = 100 bananas.
He is full of shit.
Wild gorillas on a banana bender couldn't do that.
he must be super constipated. bananas are what they tell you to eat if you have diahrea.
Forget pounds of food. A single banana has about 110 calories. Eating 20-30 in one sitting would be 2200-3300 calories in one meal. Now some people DO eat that much in one meal, but you can't regularly do that, and doing it with any kind of fruit or vegetable would be nearly impossible.
In college I did know a kenyan who ate about 25 bananas in a day. He would eat about 6 for breakfast 10 for lunch and about 10 for dinner. He did it because it was pretty cheap and of course he liked bananas.
that's only because they have potassium, they won't make you constipated
How the hell would you carry that many bananas home?
Does he go to Costco and have them carry pallets out to a truck?
I don't think I could eat more than 2 or 3 in a sitting. They mess with my stomach.
I'd like to see him try. I'll tell you what, I'll buy the bananas if someone will film it and wejo posts the event on the front page.
1. half of this board is retarded. there have been two responses in this thread and the linked thread that prove that people don't know how to read. one person attacked the op for saying that there were too many carbs in the raw food diet when he clearly said that there were too few. another person brilliantly determined how many bananas it would take to get 20 lbs when the op was simply talking about 20 bananas, not 20 lbs of bananas.
2. a lot of bananas can lead to a potassium overdose. i'm not sure how it affects fully healthy people. i know that it can kill someone with kidney problems.
for some meal plan info.

No one seems to be disputing the benefits of an organic/vegan diet. It is definitely moronic, however, to eat that many bananas. It just cannot be a pleasant experience.
After a run, I eat until I don't want to eat anymore. When it becomes unpleasant, I stop eating. If I am eating only bananas, then that usually seems to be around 20-30.
Perhaps my stomach is larger than most. Maybe that is why I tend to gain weight when I stop eating raw food.
As a distance runner, I have always been on the heavy side. This diet has allowed me to drop weight, without feeling hungry all the time. Maybe this is one of the reasons why I have seen improvement in my performance on this diet.
Obviously we need video proof. Become a legend or give yourself up.
how many bananas do you buy at the store at one time???
Do you just go and buy like 20 right after you run if thats what you feel like that day. What if all the bananas at the store are not ripe yet?
After a road race do the other runners stare at you as you walk away from the refreshment table carrying half the supply of bananas?
