What about Keene State, they had a good team last year, that only got better in track. One big question mark there is whether or not Kelleher will be running for them and if so if he will be back in good form. Also they normally pick up one or two gem recruits a year. If it all comes together they could be a top 10 team at Nationals.

keene state has potential and looks great on paper based on last years track times, but the team has yet to prove itself in cross country. they first need to learn how to finish xc races
whoa thereeee

Dude what are you talking about, Case came in 3rd place last year, returns most of their team including the 3rd fastest finisher in dominic smith who if my memory serves me is only like 18 years old. But yes I do agree it will most likely be CMU and Brandeis going for the conference title.

What makes you think Brandeis will be up there? They were only 5th last year and there weren't any noteworthy performances in track from what I've seen.

Umm, I guess there are a few reasons people could think this. They were 5th last year but only 3 points out of 3rd. They were second the year before. No one from the top 5 from the team at UAAs graduated, at least I do not think (this was not their usual top 5 from what I know, but either way we are only talking the conference meet here). So that leaves them with the 4th fastest returner/rookie of the year. A few other talented rising sophomores (one was 2nd in the 3k at new englands), a 3.55 1500 runner, and a surprise secret weapon.

you know I heard the same thing, they were getting some of the transfers from cortland, a former junior national champ from singapore and the ghost of Tyson Evensen.

You heard wrong, the transfer is not from cortland, its the junior national runner up from singapore and its the ghost of Bagger Vance.

3, 4 max Carnegie Mellon, Haverford, and probably allegheny in no particular order. Then perhaps a second team from the CC, Dickinson or Muhlenberg if either is strong this year. I would not expect more than 4, but the top 3 in the region should be strong just as they were this past year ( 3 in top 9)

Dickinson should make it. They lose their #1, but they were very deep last year. The top 3 should be in again. A #5 team is unlikely, but who knows.

How about the midwest and new england, I think there has been sufficient discussion about the Atlantic. Cortland seems to steal the show there (so long as no issues with the new coach arise), then there are the believers and the non believers when it comes to NYU being up there again, although I think most think they should still make nationals (although are we saying this years team is better than the 2005 team when Hany and Williams were sophomores? I guess its hard to say under the new qualifying standards).

At Franklin Park I would guess low to mid 25's would make it depending on how stacked and how many teams get to go. 26 min will almost never get you in from New England ( at least in my 18 or so years watching the race)

midwest will definitely have 5 teams. Is it the next 5 individual qualifiers or 8 to go?

Well you would be right at a course like Franklin Park, however the regional is at Williams this year and not at Franklin Park, in fact I am not certain why FP was brought up since regionals has not been there in quite some time.
