Seriously. The UAA would dominate that discussion. Williams would deserve an honorable mention.
"Yah, but my dad could beat up your dad."
And that's how stupid all this "we're so smart" posting appears to me.
ok lets try again....
indoor predictions?
could cortland get the title here too?
who is looking strong on the womens side of things?

It's hard to say the UAA would dominate that discussion when the NESCAC has an unrivaled number of schools in the top 25. 1 (Amherst), 1 (williams), 5 (middlebury), 6 (bowdoin), 13 (wesleyan), 20 (hamilton), 23 (colby), and 25 (bates)
Where as the UAA has the following in the top 25: # 12 (Wash U), 18 (Emory), 22 (carnegie mellon).
Clearly US News isn't the only ranking system of colleges. But every discernible rating system (SAT avg, percentage of students in top decile of high school class, student:faculty ratio, etc.) would lean in favor of the NESCAC schools.
Sorry. Back to running.
^^ you were post #666. OMG!!!
Hey dufus, comparing NESCAC and UAA schools based on US News rankings is retarded because the schools are in completely different categories. NESCAC schools are small liberal arts colleges, where UAA members are in the national university rankings. Apples and oranges buddy.
Oh yeah, you missed University of Chicago (8th) too. OK now that I fixed that, we can get back to running.
geneseo follows those numbers for fall admission. the athletes that want to get in but can't have to wait until spring and take a semester of juco

was the course different from when it was run in 2003? the times are a lot different i noticed.
Looks like Kosgei shattered Moen's course record. Wasn't that impossible according to letsrunners?
The course was somewhat muddy last time nationals were in Hanover. It was also unseasonably warm that day. Last Saturday was essentially perfect XC weather.

from what I heard the real difference is that this year the ground was frozen solid, whereas in 2003 it was pretty soft.
I heard that this year it was cold and in 2003 it was not as cold.
In 2003 Natty's, the Hanover course was very soft and the temps were about 75 degrees. During the men's race, guys were dropping before finishing, and it got worse during the women's race. You can't compare times, but this year was certainly firm footing and heat obviously not a factor.
women ran first in 2003...I was in the mens race, which was run at noon. Pat Rizzo barely finished and our number 4 guy didn't finish.
Please. If you ask any major company who they'd rather hire, someone from Emory or someone from Wesleyan, they'd laugh you out of the room.
Who the hell wants to go to some pussy liberal arts college anyway? Yeah, I want to go to school with a bunch of chicks who don't shave their armpits to study ancient Greek philosophy. Sounds rad.
Amherst is a decent school. Williams too. However, on the national scale they are insignificant academically and prepare you to be nothing more than a pussy liberal douche.
Tufts seems like a pretty solid school, i looked at it awhile back. Its the 15th most selective school in the country, last I checked. Definitely put that on the Wash U or Emory level. Nescac and UAA are pretty equal in my opinion.
I would not go as far as to say it was "perfect" xc weather. The footing was great, but it was waaay too cold to be perfect.
