Anyone done more than 5?
Anyone done more than 5?
I did 14 events over 2 days once, although the decathlon accounted for ten of those. Then did open discus, shot, jav and the LJ. I know that isnt the same as doing a bunch of races.
Back in HS----
1. 3200m rabbit (2000m then "dropped out")
2. 800m 1:58
3. 1600m 4:26
4. 4x4 :55
Low key meet back in the day (so no one really caught on to how many laps I officially raced that day) -- not gonna lie, that last 400 was rough.... hit the wall at 350.
I used to run the 4x800, 1600/mile, 3200/2mile every meet but i have run 4x400 and 4x200 along with those because some sprinter was being a wuss and i was like sure i'll do it but its not going to be fast lol.
my team mate just did the double decath plus one so 21 events total at our championship meet, exhausting
This was quite painful
I did
1600 - 4.18
800 - 1.58
3200 - 9.23
4x4 - I think a 52 or something like that
We won our conference for the tenth year in a row my senior year. I ran 4x8, 800, 1600, 3200. Fourty points for me that night. Four events was the max by rule.
This season for every daul meet I did the 4x8, 1600, 800, and 3200. It sucks balls
Did 4 events one morning:
7am 10 000m 31'54
8:30 3000m Steeple 11'
10am 3000m 9'39
12:15 4x800m 2'06
I did 7 running events one time at an All Comers meet.
3000
1500
800
400
200
100
4x400
at our high school meet every year i would do all the track events they had: 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500m, steeple, relay.
no one else really took it seriously so it wasnt hard to win everything
5th grade "Field Day", I participated in the cage ball and softball throw. I don't recall the results, but I'm sure I PRed in both events.

You have never thrown a ball farther than you did in 5th grade?

Ditto on the 4 events. That's the way they do it in Ohio, though much to my chagrin my head coach tried some chicanery with one of the girls after I graduated, and just about ruined her high school career by trying to enter her in 5 events and then scratching her from one.
Also, my sophomore year some guy from Westerville North tied for first all by himself with another team because he won all three of his events, so they added two more scoring places to try to avoid that.
why? After the 10k your times indicated you were hurting yourself more than anything.

4x8 - 2.06
1600 - 4.46
3200 - 10.23
4x4 - 56
1600 and 3200 sound so strange to me now...
I did this in a dual meet:
1600 - 4:21
800 - 1:57
3200 - 8:53
Then I decided to run the 4x400 for my team right after my 3200 and my coach got my split at around 53.
Once in a college meet I did
10,000m
3,000m Steeplechase
400m Hurdles
4X400m
Almost. All but the 5k were the first time ever.
high jump: 5'6" (scissor-kick)
long jump: 18'x"
400m: 53.66
400h: 63.xx
5000m: 17:0x i think (ran sub 15 the year before...got fat)
