I think the Women's 5k and 10k may end up being better. I think the women's 10k could be very fast - such a deep field. Watch out for Kim Smith.

Hopefully the weather will cooperate.

I always question how someone can say a dude with a WC bronze medal, a 3:48 mile, 8:03 2-mile, 12:55 5k can be f***ing overrated. He is a damn good runner who has beaten some f***ing awesome runners on the world stage, he deserves all the praise that comes his way.

When I checked, Collis had been shafted into the B heat for the 10000, hopefully that will be rectified!

Clearly a loaded field. To the OP who said Lomong has this one 'in the bag', I wouldn't be so sure. Nick Symmonds has run just a fast for 800m as Lomong and also ran a 3:56i last year and a 2:50 1200m split last week, so I would think that Symmonds is ready to cork one off.

You also have to consider Sullivan, who has the fastest PR in the group. He's old, but he can still run a solid 1500m/mile.

I hope Mottram runs, I was thinking about going down there and he's definitely part of the draw.

My prediction for the 10K: I'm hoping Galen Rupp goes balls to the wall, Mottram hangs and passes with a lap or so to go and looks to have it in the bag, when a surprise 3rd party comes out of nowhere and passes Mottram on the final straightaway.

I wouldnt rule out farah in the 10k either

It's been 4 years since Mottram ran a pr in the 5000. He was quoted as saying to his coach after world cross 'Nic what's wrong with me? I mean Michael Shelley was only 15 seconds behind me and he isn't even an athlete. Shelley was sitting at Mottram's feet at the time. Karma!
