Joe Ehlers lives in Phoenix, Arizona. Approaching age 75 and still jogging, walking, and running some. Many state championships were won after Colorado trips. He even had success at the Junior College level with inner city runners. While in high school, Joe ran in the state meet cross country for 4 years and in his second year, the state meet record was set with a total of 37 points. That record was held from 1955 to 1986 in which Joe's runners set a state record of 32 points-which is still unbroken. He would love to hear from the Colorado camp individual that wrote to him. He has remarked on many occasions about the wonderful times for the young men he took to Colorado and the great people he met at these camps. God Bless Keep Running. Joe is still involved with many of these runners even today. Finally, He was inducted into the State of Arizona Coaches Hall of Fame. Hana
