I can imagine certain years having collector's item value, such as 1996. Or maybe a year with a WR or AR. But a "just regular" year? Well, I suppose there are always folks in search of historical memorabilia for one reason or another. I can't imagine buying a finisher's medal for a marathon I didn't run, though.
