Michael Eaton has consistently been developing into a fine young runner. He was great in high school too. Ran sub 8:50 I believe. Anyway, here he is getting 2nd in 28:41. Not a bad time for the point in the season. I could see Eaton easily working his way into the top 20 at NCAA's next fall. Top ten is not unrealistic given this mark; he will get into more "A" races (of course, he might not have anymore besides league before NCAAs. |

I was at the race last night. PERFECT conditions. The race was setup beautifully by two rabbits taking 5-6 guys at just sub 29:00 pace for just about 4k (i think). at that point Eaton and Kirwa started to move away from the other Louisville runner and a couple other guys. I got their splits at 14:27 adn 14:09 for Kirwa (2 huge laps to end it). The other Louisville runner basically even split the first and second half. |

There is another 10k coming up tonight. I had thought last night's was the slower heat, but perhaps they divided them evenly. My teammate got into the Thursday night heat with a slower time than several other guys in the Friday night heat. |
| Mad about the Africans? |

I am so tired of hearing E. Africans getting slack for being good at something and doing something that they love. Many of my closest friends are Kenyan and I am from a school that develops only local American guys. Kenyans are some of the kindest, humane people I know. Why do you think they don't come on here and talk about Americans? Pissed about getting beat by Africans? Either get used to it or start working harder. |

Seriously. Dan Kirwa is an awesome guy and a hard worker, I was stoked to see he did so well on such a big stage. The guy has got ridiculous versatility; I think he ran close to a 4 minute mile for indoor. Kirwa is legit, so is the athletic club he was apart of in Kenya. Chepkero AC HATES: 1) Dopers 2) Kids who lie about their times to get into schools 3) People who aren't willing to work. It is the same club that Felix Kiboiywo is from, Emmanuel Bor and Boaz Lalang did time trials with them at Chepkoleil University. These are kids who had jumped through hoops to get here, give them your respect. |

I don't think he was that fast in high school. He ran 9:10 for the 2 mile indoors, and then ran World XC's. Not sure if he ran faster than that outdoors. Louisville coach is doing a good job. |
