I will try to post splits tomorrow as they come. Target splits are for 2:06:50 with the first two 5km splits being 15:10 and then dropping down to 15 flat the rest of the way. The second group will target 2:10 and change. The women will have 2 rabbits who will target 2:24 pace. The 'old man' Lee Bong Ju is running. |

Close to 25km, there is still one Korean very close to the front. 2 other Koreans are around 100m back, and fading. Lee Bong Ju is trying to come back, but it will be difficult. The Korean close to the front is hurting though, and with his small size (1.62) looks like he is 'sprinting' to keep the pace with the lead pack. The front guys are maintaining good pace. Lead runners, through 25km in 1:14.04. Good running conditions, cool and sunny - perfect day for good times. Not many specators on course, compared with Japan. Korea has no marathon culture, in comparison with Japan. The residents of Seoul don't realize what they are missing. Ghost in Korea |
