McD was channelling Jerry Falwell in the last 400, which is why he died.

The Trackshark coverage was outstanding! It was great to see the events uncover on one screen and the video on the other. The video seemed ok but for a couple of caching issues.

I just think McDougal is not a good track runner. His best race, arguably, is a race he got pulled to at Stanford (where ever the 13:20 was). In cross country you can get away with a long, drawn out acceleration. In track, people can kick like mad, and that's where they catch you.

1 Chris Solinsky SR Wisconsin 13:35.12 10
2 Bobby Curtis JR Villanova 13:39.88 8
3 Wesley Korir JR Louisville 13:40.47 6
4 Josh McDougal JR Liberty 13:41.03 5

Quigley, DNR

1 Shadrack Songok JR A&M-CC 28:55.83 10
2 Galen Rupp JR Oregon 28:56.19 8
3 Josh McDougal JR Liberty 28:58.28 6
4 Sean Quigley JR La Salle 28:59.29 5

XC, everyone knows what happened there.

Lopez Lomong SO Northern Arizona 7:49.74 10
2 Chris Solinsky SR Wisconsin 7:51.69 8
3 Josh McDougal JR Liberty 7:55.40 6
4 Galen Rupp SO Oregon 7:56.79 5

Quigley DNR

1 Chris Solinsky SR Wisconsin 13:38.61 10
2 Peter Kosgei SR Arkansas 13:39.88 8
3 Galen Rupp SO Oregon 13:40.38 6
4 Samuel Chelanga FR Fairleigh Dickinson 13:47.39 5
5 Tim Nelson SR Wisconsin 13:48.08 4
6 Kevin Chelimo SR Texas Tech 13:48.88 3
7 Sean Quigley JR La Salle 13:49.62 2
8 Josh McDougal JR Liberty 13:49.97 1

So out of the last 5 times they have raced, Quigley beat McDougal twice, McDougal beat him 3 times, including cross and McDougal doubled at the last three NCAA meets. No clue where you got 4 out of 5

if mcdougal runs 130 miles the week of cross nats and 110 miles the week of indoor nats and 100+ miles the week of outdoor nats, when does he plan on reaping the benefits of all those miles?? Maybe he's just training for his post collegiate racing at the marathon distance and could care less if he runs fast or not or win or loses...all of this is just speedwork and college living:)
