You regularly post on the forum, Letsrun.com, which is the "Center of the running geek universe" under the name Flagpole Willy. To top it all off there are numerous threads in this center of the running geek universe which call you out for being numerous things, many of which are quite similar to geek.
I think you take the cake, brotha.
I'm going to go play WoW now, and be thankful I'm not you.
I've been called many things here, but geek isn't usually one of those things. My biceps are too big and I play guitar -- an electric one at that. Besides, I use the word "brother" quite frequently. If that isn't cool, then I don't know what is.
The instruction book I read said to NOT be a geek I had to do the following:
1) Play in a band - check
2) Play electric guitar - check
3) Have big biceps - check
4) Have a long varied history with the ladies - check
5) Type everything in numbered lists - check
6) Call people "brother" or "my brother" - check
7) Invest in growth stock mutual funds - check
In my business world, the "in" crowd are all geeks, and it is a point of pride to be a geek. I just don't fit in. I'm too good at sports. I look cool in leather. I don't subscribe to PC Weekly or attend Star Trek Conventions; I've never seen any of the Lord of the Rings movies for cryin' out loud. I play music in smoky bars (even though in Ohio you aren't supposed to smoke anymore, many bar owners look the other way). I look great in the front yard when I mow the lawn with my shirt off.
All very non-geeky stuff.
