He was great in his own right. World Champion, Olympic Champion, former World record holder. Clean as far as we know...

No sprinter - none - are clean.
Nike knew when to cut him. Adidas overpaid him and got nothing in return on their investment.
Wow, I wonder what he is going to do with that retarded tattoo of his now that he certainly will never have the chance to be the GOAT again. What a f***ing loser, good riddance to a drug cheat and arrogant ass.
he can rightfully claim the title of goat in the 100m. the man held the world record, olympic title, and world championship title all at the same time. and he absolutely dominated the 100m from 1997-2001. there aren't too many other 100m men who were on top as long as he was.
Maybe Mo Greene can move up to the 10,000 now!

Independent of your meaningless drug accusations, you've clearly never met Mo Greene, nor do you have a particularly good idea of what "the greatest of all time" means.

yeah, if he can run a 100m in under 10 seconds, just imagin how easy it would be for him to run 15 seconds! he could keep up that pace for a 10k easily..

Only if Tegenkamp rabbits him the first 9.9k though.

Nike didn't cut him- he left because he wanted his own shoe, which Nike refused to produce for him.
Sorry, sunk in my estimation when he couldn’t take Mark Lewis-Francis of all people on the anchor leg of the 4 by 100.
Giving Bob Hayes the baton in the same position, he’d have brought the US home by at least 5 yards.
they guy was clean... and yea he was the greatest of all time and dominant during his prime... and a tough competitor too who always ran hard and showed how great he was in sydney when he hammered into a headwind!!! then when he won one of his world titles hopping across the line after a muscle tear. that's a tough athlete. yea, he was arrogant and had a big mouth, but really, most sprinters are like that. some are not, but most are...
once again, he really was clean...
its absurd that everyone comes on here and starts trashing a guy after he retires from an amazing career, saying he is a loser, dirty, blah, blah...
you guys are the LOSERS and need lots of roids to be able to break 15 seconds for the 100m...
yeaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!! wrote:

Spoken like a true sprinter. Sprinters can get by on talent. Just think back to the playground in elementary school, someone was always really fast. However, try that b.s. in a 4, 5 , 6 mile race?? You better be in shape. You can not just go hard for 10 or 20 seconds. This is the long haul, and the reason why the best ldr's are from the east coast of Africa, not the west coast like the majority of all African Americans.
Every track team I was on, the sprinters didn't support the team, only the relays and sprints, and maybe some jumps. They didn't give a DAMN about the throwers, middle and long distance runners. Why? Because it wasn't about them!
You don't know anything about sprint training, nor about sample sizes. Have a cookie.
why because we (USA) has been very successful for so long.
i guess r. hall, a webb, and others are dirty since they are starting to win on the international stage.
