We're Sure You'll Figure This Out: Katie Holmes Did She Run the Full NYC Course?

I have a little inside info on this one. Although it doesnt really answer the question.

My wife was an elite runner for NYCM this year. When we looked at the elite bus assignments the day before. Katie Holmes and entourage were supposed to be on my wife's bus the next morning. When the busses left for Staten Island the morning of the race. Katie was a no show. Jane Monti actually said "We are not waiting for Katie Holmes".

So if she did get to the start I'm not sure how she got there. Maybe she decided to start a little closer to the finish?

From the blogs the question does not seem to be her chip going over the mats but whether it was actually her wearing the chip.

I think photo proof is the only way to settle it 100%.

The 20k to half differential is slower than the 40k to finish differential. Now, I'm not a betting man, but I'd wager very few people run faster pace for the final two kilometers than they do from the 20k to half.

Well I think you can throw out most pacing and running logic when you begin talking about 12 minute miles.

Kind of like the 23 minute hero in the local 5k kicking in the last .1 in about 30 seconds.

At Boston, you can buy a DVD video of the runner crossing the intermediate timing mats. If that's available at the NYCM and you're interested enough, buy the DVD and analyze it.

It's more amazing that she didn't wear a bra.

It really isn't that surprising that she ran slower for the whole second half but "picked it up" for the last 2k.

I just checked the NYCM website. There are zero photos of her during the race.

There IS a conspiracy here!

It's completely logical that she may have taken a walk break or stopped to eat and drink from 20k to the half whereas she ran from 40k to the finish straight just because it was the end. But no, this must be proof that she cheated.

the mystery number has a chip but is not official and has no time.

My guess is the two knuckle heads ran the race. 1 with Holmes chip. she hopped in toward the end. no chip, long pants, no bra.

the rest is history.

Was the the scientology body guard running next to her? Is that proof enough that aliens do exist.

Here's hoping that no one cares about this real soon. I've already gotten there.

B-but...why bother? It's not like the NYCM is that great (if you're not in the first 1000). Not hard to get into. Excitement, a party? Surely there's more fun elsewhere.

Mostly publicity. Other than that, it's probably good for her (and crazy Tom's) image. It makes it look like she is independent, having fun and pursuing her own interests instead of being brainwashed/controlled by Tom Cruise. Remember back when she disappeared after her daughter was born?
