Congrats. I won't bet against you reaching any goal you set. You are a bad man, eddy lee.
I can't wait until a movie gets made about this thread.
I'm normally a douchebag Troll, but props to you man. I can cut the trollin' for this one post.
hey Eddy,
How cool is this??? In you first post your PR was 4:16. You reached your goal on 4-16!!! It was meant to be. YOU ARE AWESOME!!!

Very close but I don't see it happening for a little while. Looking at his races over this year the 4:07, 4:04, and 4:00 are much faster then anything else. The mile and 3k times are not what a sub 4:00 1500 guy should be running. Yes I know those were indoor times, but that does not explain a 4:37 mile. He's also improved by 7 seconds over just a few weeks, so I'd be a little worried the timing on your training. Improvements like that in early season tend to result in seasons best being those early races.
Hey Eddy, you did it and made this clown look like an idiot. Congratulations!
WOW! Congratulations Eddy!!! They couldn't have said it better... "A dream becomes reality"
It's cool that you met your goal! Your effort has been an inspiration since I first jumped into this thread in 2008.
Congrats, Eddy Lee!
If you're ever in the Portland, OR. area, it would be my honor to buy you one of our many fine microbrews.
awesome! did you rest this week? helluva double! you have many years left to accomplish ANY goal you want! I hope you will keep at it!
I don't believe it. I want some concrete proof and photos.
So can we please hear from the man himself? Eddy.... talk to us baby..... you've single-handedly brought this crass, hateful, trollish, cynical community together for one unique moment. Give us your thoughts!
Eddy you better not give up on running now...you need to keep the momentum going and smash all of your personal bests
I need help reaching my goals as well...
Check him out last year getting beat by a masters guy:
Eddy! Eddy! Eddy! Eddy!
Way to go man, what a great way to wake up this morning and go run 8 miles. I will be inspired the whole time.

His official time is 3:59.48, I'm on his team at CSUB. He didn't seem as excited today as he was mad last week with his 4:00.33. This is no hoax! He will likely reply when we get back to town tonight
There is some sadness in completing a goal like this. This thread was 2.5 years in the making. The journey was long and I'm sure he's incredibly happy that he's made it, but now it's over. That is until he sets his sights on a new goal.
For now, Eddy, congratulations man! Do something really great to reward yourself. Rewarding yourself for achieving goals is a big part of the process. This was a special day and it obviously took a lot of time and effort, so go out and do something special.
Congratulations again, really inspiring stuff!
Eddy, congratulations!
After you have a well-deserved vacation, think what you can do when in control of your schedule all year round.... ten more seconds could come off next year easily...
Congratulations Eddy. I remember when you first posted this thread several years ago and with those PR's everyone thought you were nuts. I am glad you stuck with it and worked your ass of to reach your goal. If more people were like you the world would be a better place.
CONGRATULATIONS Eddylee!
Yes, dream do come true as you now know not over night.
Way to go!
Anything you would like to accomplish is yours forever.
May you continue to dream and reach beyond the stars.
Thank you for letting us in on it to dream with you.
You are the man! Congratulations.
It's amazing that he just ran his 800m PR - 1:58.93, and then smashed it to run 1:56.59 on the same day as his sub 4. He'd only broken 2 twice in his life before the Bryan Clay invite, and his overdistance times are poor relative to his 1500 time. Huge congrats, man!
