What are the rules if you want to transfer from one NAIA school to another? Is it like the NCAA and you have to sit out a year?
thanks for any info

no, NAIA has no rules. transfer as many times as you want!
seriously?
I'm in my first year of eligibility if it makes a difference.
some schools have rules that say you can't transfer within the conference without sittin out a semester or year. what conference are you in?
Most of the time you can transfer and not sit out.

It depends (doesn't everything).
If you ran for a team, then your school would have to release you to another school.
If you didn't compete at all, no release is necessary (see page 47 of NAIA rule book).
If you sit out for 16 weeks (a semester) you can go whereever you want (keep in mind you still need to meet the minimum number of credits depending on your year of eligibility).
You are identified with a school if you enroll in 12 credits or more. Once identified, you need to follow rules governing transfers (2-year or 4-year). But see paragraph three if you didn't compete.

You must be from Concordia (Ca). Smart choice by transferring
I'm not in California.
I did compete this fall in xc. The school I'm considering transfering to is not in my conference so I don't think the coach would be that upset. I'm just in the initial stages of mulling it over.
The coach and I are just not seeing eye to eye. he is a good guy and good coach. I'm just not sure he is the best coach for me.
if you have to sit out a semester, you still have 9 semesters to get in all the seasons correct? Doesn't NAIA go with 10 semesters and they don't have to be consecutive like the NCAA?

NCAA Div 2, and 3 does not have to be consecutive. Only NCAA Div 1
