Back in the late 80's or early 90's there was this Runner from New Zealand who for one season was unbeatable on the roads. Then she was gone. Anybody know what became of her?

Good question. I hadn't thought of her in years. She was pretty hot too, as I recall. What made you think of her?
I believe that she had some eating disorder stuff and some injuries. She went back to New Zealand and I think made a comeback attempt that didn't get too far. I'm not 100% sure of this, but it's what I seem to recall.
I was googling Anne because her 25 year old course record was broken today at the Tufts 10k and this thread came up near the top.
I found this article on here from 1996 on how anorexia ruined her career. In 1988, she only weighed 96 lbs.

Today's Tufts 10k article here:
I really don't understand why the press call Sentayehu shy? She probably was so happy, she wanted to share that moment only with Meseret, even more than with the press. Emotional as she is! At least Matt, the assistance of Marc Wettmore got now some room to speak!
2 Year of struggling with injuries! She is back! And back talking Englishe her next race, this girl is going to be the new sensation on the road! Believe me!
After that string of road race victories and records Runner's World put her on the cover. She was so skinny with so much lanugo covering her limbs that they made her wear tights for the cover shot.
She was very pretty though. Beautiful face. I always wondered what happened to her. She really did have the summer to remember that year. She destroyed records and won everything.
