Here's exactly what happened. i was talking to my Atlanta Track Club friends and they pointed to a chic who punched out a growler in the men's bathroom. i went up to her and high-fived her. She dared me to do the same in the women's bathroom so i accepted the challenge.
I was in there for about 10min with the girls and an Atlanta TC buddy, just chatting about stupid stuff, when a Deerfield Township Sheriff busted in and said, "you need to leave." i replied, "Nothing's happening officer. We're good." He then said very firmly, "You need to leave now" and grab me by the front of my shirt and hauled me out.
On the way out i put up both hands and said, "Okay officer, i'm leaving." When i got out into the hall, i said "Officer, just so you know, some girls dared me to go in there and that's all" (dumb, i know). i still had both hands up and he grabbed one and twisted my arm behind my back and started pushing me towards a door. i said, "i'm not resisting officer, i'm not resisting officer." That's when Mike, the Reebok guy, shouted, "Leave him alone, he didn't do anything."
Mike's buddies later said that he bumped the sheriff. At this point the sheriff threw me through some doors (i hit my face on the bar which opened them, luckily). As i tried to get up he shoved me again and i went through the second set on the outside sidewalk. i rolled over and saw the cop push Mike against the wall and Mike got up saying, "What's your problem? He didn't do anything. You're outta control." He took 2 steps toward the cop (who looked like a 12 year old boy panicking as he tries to figure out his first bra), the cop went for the taser, drew it, Mike said "What's your problem?" and the cop tasered him. Mike went down hard, split his head open and blood was all over. i walked away because the cop was occupied and circled back around later to find out that Mike was taken to the hospital then jail.
Nik was watching in the hall and as cops tried ushering people out they thought he was causing trouble. He was cuffed but released and i talked to him a few minutes after. It was f**king ridiculous. The tasering cop looked like a scared little boy. He overreacted.
