Where can I find a 200 meter track time to 400 meter track converter?

On the track.
Just rest two days,race 200m,rest two days,race 400m.
Calculate YOUR factor.
Obviously it depends on endurance/speed but I would say it is about
1) 20/44
2) 21/46
3) 22/48
4) 23/50
5) 24/53
6) 25/55
7) 26/58
8) 27/61
9) 28/63
10) 29/66
11) 30/68
I would say that if you have good endurance your 400m time would be one "level" faster then your 200m time- so 21/44 (Wariner fits into about this category) or 28/61
Average endurance follows this table closely-just look straight across, ex. 24/53
Poor endurance has the 400m time a level slower-Asafa Powell runs about 20/46, and his main event is the 100m
Just a thought.
if you are running a mile or greater, I say that the 200m INDOOR track is faster, mainly due to temperature control and no wind.
forget it time to man up wrote:

physics says otherwise
unless u are racing in some Scandanvian counrty, at 9pm, when the temp is a perfect 68 degrees and there is no wind; it does make a difference in about any US outdoor meet from March to June. The wind is always a factor.
I agree! The fact that there is no wind (which often happens outdoors) definitly overrides the fact that the 200m track has tighter turns. That's why at every distance the outdoor time is slower. Oh, wait a sec...
