congrat. Is she american? Not trying to be rude but I never heard of her. That is a great run.

Will your son be letting her out of the closet at some point soon?
Yes, she is originally from a small town in Iowa north of Davenport.
The Grinnell HOF site has this to say about her recent induction:
Nicole Cueno '02 joins the Hall of Fame because of her talent for running. This talent carried her through three seasons of cross country and four seasons of track. Cueno earned seven athletic letters - one for each season in which she competed. One of her favorite competition memories is winning the 1,500-meter at Outdoor Track Nationals. She describes the experience as "wondrously surreal," because the top four runners were so close, she won by .04 seconds. The next year, Cueno went to nationals again, this time taking second place in the 5k and 10k races. By graduation, she held 11 track records, eight of which still stand today, including her 1500m time. She also earned four All-American awards for her track and field performances. To date, she has run seven marathons, earning several cash prizes and one first-place triumph. Most recently, she competed in Grandma's Marathon in northern Minnesota, where she set a personal record of 2:52:42. Cueno spent two years with Teach
for America before moving on to graduate school. She is currently a graduate student in evaluation studies. She is working on a proposal to evaluate the American Evaluation Association.

Dude...it's like...I'm chilled, Man.....at the thought of finding out how Neil Holm did.....30 hours later.....cus 30 hours, Dude....what's that in the Grand Scheme in this day and age....Peace.....
For the sake of Skuj's sanity: Neil Holm, 41, finished 12th in 2:32:22, according to the top 100 results printed in the Sac Bee today.
Skuj needs to switch to decaf..... and maybe smoke some gov't weed.
Women's OT qualifiers: http://www.sacbee.com/100/story/537954.html

Nicole Cueno is my son's closet friend and he just called me to let me know she had run 2.42 and taken second, which was also worth $5g. Nicole was a runner at Grinnell College...
I heard yesterday from our Greater Boston Track Club runner Sara Donahue that she enjoyed running most of the way with Nicole and herself ran to an Olympic Trials Qualifier of 2:43:45.
Tom
Very cool, Derderian. Sounds like they were able to help each other- 9 qualifiers total. Pretty neat.
UP's rob conner ran 2:39. Not bad for a race he claims "he wasn't peaked" or "was out of shape" for.
Why not just pick up the phone and call him to see how he did?
Because I don't actually know the guy. I'm just stalking him because he's soooooo hot.
2007 results online here:
http://www.runcim.org/data/07Results.html
15th place's splits of 1:33:33/1:00:03 look kind of weird.
So maybe these results are not quite final?
Since they say unofficial at the top that would make sense.
The page I linked to says "Official Results" in a crappy font. But yes the Individual Results pages do say "Unofficial".
Anyway, there are inconsistencies that will be ironed out.
CIM looks like a good race to run a sub 3:00, look at all the finishers within 5 minutes under 3:00 and just over!
I have a guy friend who's pretty big (6'4", 230?), and he ran 3:09+ a few years ago at CIM to qualify for Boston. His previous best was like 4+ hours! I'd say it's a solid bet for running a PR.

You mean C.P.? He ran sub-3 to win the "Clydesdale" division last year or the year before.
It is a fast course IF you run it correctly. I've wiped out at CIM before by pushing too hard on the first half. That said, after you hit the wall on this course, you can fairly easily bring it in without losing 30 mins.
