Track star Marion Jones has acknowledged using steroids as she prepared for the 2000 Summer Games in Sydney and plans to plead guilty Friday in New York to two counts of lying to federal agents about her drug use and an unrelated financial matter, according to a letter Jones sent to close family and friends.
Jones, who won five medals at the Sydney Olympics, said she took the steroid known as "the clear" for two years beginning in 1999, according to the letter, which was read to The Washington Post by a person who had been given a copy of it. A person familiar with Jones's legal situation who requested anonymity confirmed the relevant facts that were described in the letter.
What a loser
Sad. Not surprising, but sad. She seemed like she had a decent head on her shoulders, but just got mixed up with some real losers. Decisions, folks. Make better decisions.
only two drops. whats the big deal?
Which is the loser, Jones or the 'family member' who read the letter to washington post reporters. OK, Jones is a loser, and I am glad this has finally come to light, because I always knew in my bones she was up to no good.
Having said that, if I were her, I'd find the family member and beat some ass.
I'm afraid I can't even give her respect for coming clean at this point. It's too late. She's just aknowledging what everyone has known for years.
I read recently that she's completely broke now.
I wonder if she'll make any book deals, and do some talk shows to get back in the black now that she's come clean.
Will she write the book before or after Jail. Looks like she will do some time.
I wonder who gets bumped up in the medal stand? Will the IOC give medals to those who deserved them?
I just re-read the article. This is the most pathetic thing I've seen from her yet. She finally admits to using drugs, but she blames it all on Trevor. This bitch is a train wreck.
I'M ABSOLUTELY SHOCKED ABOUT ALL THIS. ABSOLUTELY SHOCKED, I TELL YOU.

Maybe she could sell drugs. She has the connections, tax free dollars. If you can't beat em, join em
Marion--
"If you ain't got no money, take your broke ass home!"
I'M SICK ABOUT THIS.
My first thought was, "who sends a letter to friends and family?" But then I realized that this is not that unusual. I recently sent a letter to my friends and family admitting that I am incredibly awesome.

IT'S A TRAVESTY. (yawns.) OF MONUMENTAL PROPORTIONS. (picks broken fingernail.)
Now, will Balco Barry come forward and admit that his flaxseed oil was actually the clear? Does he have the balls, or ahve they shrunk to the size of a BB?
I don't know how many more of these hits i can take before i stop caring. I always feel bad for the relay teammates who end up having to give up their medals.
