Mottram wins, if its over 12:48. If its real quick it could be Bekele by a nose. But based on what has happened this year I would give the edge to Mottram
i believe they are racing a 3k
Bekele sucks in the 3K because he doesn't have the world record.
Bekele, but it will be close. Potential for best track distance race, outside of WC, in '07. I do hope they are one-two with 600 to go...
if Kenny B is on, there is NO WAY that Mottram will win the race, simple as that.
Let him come down to the 1500m too, so Webb can tax that ass...
i think everyone should remember that Bekele has run 3:33 or whatever it was. That comment is meant for those that say Mottram will win because he has faster mile speed.
lets also remember that mottram beat bekele last year in a 3k.

true, but wasnt that after Bekele had run race after race after race? and they were fast races too, like 5 or 6 in a row
Yep, Bekele had been pumping out sub-13 5k's all summer long, while Buster was just training all summer recovering from an injury in the spring I believe.
mottram is going to win as he is absolutely on fire right in the 3k. last time they matched up mottram won. mottram is also coming off an 803 two mile while bekele ran 813. 803 is flying and mottram is on top of his game. it doesn't seem bekele is 100% so he better be ready for a stiff challenge.
hopefully there will be pacemakers so they can both go sub 7:30 for the first time...
Well let's see... Mottram edged T Bekele at Pre. I would assume that the older brother has an edge on the younger--then again it's hard to know where KB stands right now.
Bekele has shown some great speed (4:49 indoor 2K probably the best indicator) but he's got to get away from Mottram before the last 200m.
Mottram, then Bekele... both a shade under 7:30.
will the balls show?
it will not be an easy one llike prvious comp.
Bekele should be ready for stiff challenge.
mottram is in top form, kenenisa need strength like that of 2005 to beat mottram.

Yeah, KB is really weak the last 200m...
is Lagat running... that would be some race...
8:03 2mile pace is 7:30 for 3000m, so Mottram should be able to run 2-3 secs quicker.. i will say Mottram in 7:27 then Bekele in 7:28
Bekele is the best runner of all time. Mottram is an awesome runner. If Bekele is on, it's not even a race. Mottram could win, but not if Bekele is in top shape.
Obviously I'm not giving a good prediction.
Mottram is in Sub 7:30 shape, if Bekele is not at 100% he's not gonna beat the Aussie.

We know Bekele is a doper; Mottram may be. It all comes down to the drugs.
