i also dont\' think ras desrved it so much
its kind of like periore last year
the last couple years ras has gone on long breaks in the mountain clinched the pd jersey then sucked at tt or a mountain stage
on stage 8 the peleton let him go thinkging the same would happen
take away the three minutes ras got the the stage today and it would be even more interesting
That is absolutely false - this is nothing like Pereiro last year.
The only rider who has gained any time on Rasmussen since he won stage 8 is Contador. He has increased his lead over everybody else.
Rasmussen lead after stage 8:
6 Cadel Evans (PRL) +02'53"
8 Alberto Contador (DSC) +03'10"
11 Carlos Sastre (CSC) +03'35"
12 Andréas Klöden (AST) +03'46"
13 Levi Leipheimer (DSC) +03'53"
Rasmussen lead after stage 15:
2 Alberto Contador (DSC) +02'23" (-00'30")
3 Cadel Evans (PRL) +04'00" (+00'50")
4 Levi Leipheimer (DSC) +05'25" (+01'32")
5 Andréas Klöden (AST) +05'34" (+01'48")
6 Carlos Sastre (CSC) +06'46" (+03'11")
So saying he's winning the Tour because of a single stage is preposterous. That's like saying Indurain or Armstrong didn't deserve their victories because they won them on the TTs. Rasmussen is a climber, so where else is he gonna win if not on the mountain stages.
