i am. why the hell are they doing the prologue in london? it makes no sense considering its the tour de FRANCE. i'm rooting for levi this year. hopefully america will take it for the 9th year in a row.
What TV Network will it be on?
Versus. It was formally OLN.

Well since Landis' win from last year is most likely not going to count if Lipi wins he will be starting a new streak of American winners.
does anyone know of a secret website with streaming video? i assume not, but it's worth a shot...
Apparently you know very little about the Tour. Please go to another thread.

Would be nice too, especially as he'd be the first clean American in that streak.

yeah, or else it would be better to have one of the "clean" europeans win. please. they're all dirty so who cares?

I was actually making an underhanded dig at Armstrong, but whatever. I'm fully aware of the drug issues in cycling.
Nice ride by Hincapie.
then perhaps you should just say the first clean cyclist...rather than the first clean american....peace out
Actually, it would be hilarious if they moved the entire Tour de France OUT of France....not just the Prologue! Now THAT would be hilarious. It would serve those whiners right.
What whiners?
The ones "whining" about Landis? Or about Armstrong? Yeah, they clearly didn't have a leg to stand on. Landis had obviously just had a lot of sex and whiskey after his collapse and then the good lord blessed him with a little extra man juice for the next day. Nothing suspicious there.
And I don't think there can be any doubt that a guy who was a great, but not exceptional, cyclist before his cancer could come back from debilitating chemotherapy and beat an entire field of dopers 7 years in a row... without being a doper. I mean, surely, if you don't buy that you're just a whiner.
I'm watching. Phil and Paul are great. Bob Roll is hysterical. Go Levi, George, and Dave Z.
Umm, I'm pretty sure a dirty European could not be in the "streak" he was referencing. So nothing he said was false. Maybe you need to not be so sensitive. The fact that others did it too does in no way excuse Armstrong. He is still the biggest fraud of them all.
I personally don't think Armstrong doped. That guy has heart. To win the tour de france 7 years in a row by doping and not get caught is a very major feat. Plus, I think that 2:59 marathon by Armstrong shows he is definitely a tough guy, or do you think he doped for that, too? But yeah, Landis was definitely a doper.
I am amazed by the differences between cycling and running that seem to allow cyclists to basically time trial at the same speed no matter how far they go. Today they only went 8k at about 49-51 km/h and Lemond went faster for over 20 and Armstrong nearly as fast as Lemond for 50 plus.
I realize that wind and corners etc. can make a difference but you would think that you could bike into a head wind on a twisting course for 8k at a faster average speed than you could hold for 50k with a tailwind.
I am also now aware that all those guys on here who boasted about cross training and doing 70 miles of running a week and another 250 on the bike at 30mph average aren't aware that their speedometer reads in kilometres.
Either that or the peleton should look like the start of the NYC marathon with all the untapped talent on this board.
Levi is doped to the gills, Dave Z is clean.....
Lance won a world title at 23.not like he was a domestique then a 7 time winner
agree on the speed overkill..on a hockey mb i had some guy saying he ran 2x per week..all out for 2.5mi at 11:20..nothing like running 4:30's on no training...jeez
Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
