Who are the top D3 recruits this year? Did anyone get someone special for either XC or track?

Haverford gets Chris Southwick, 16:05 at Holmdel, that's moving.

Brian Cole (4:11 1600) is going to Williams.
NYU gets Blaise Rewaka. 1:51, 46-high splits. 22 open. Can run the mile too.
some schools in Va each got half a dozen 4:20-4:30
Trinity got wes halstead. 9:13 two miler.
I thought D3 didn't give athletic scholarships?
they don't. Does that mean they don't recruit? DIII has some of the best academic schools, so they're going to get some really good recruits.
interesting.....how do they go about recruiting, what do they say, etc.....I sorta like the idea.....you HAVE to sell your program, your coaching ability, etc....since no scholarship is involved.
UW Oshkosh is getting a transfer named Matt Withrow. I heard he is pretty good.
they have alot of angles to get 'aid' to good athletes in d3. they just aren't called 'athletic scholarships'.
well, you're selling the school too. It's not a coincidence that Williams and NYU have dominating programs; they have outstanding schools. Also, though we can't give athletic scholarships, academic scholarships can still be given. For the most part, especially for schools in the NESCAC (primarily the best academic conference), there is substantial need based aid given out. So if the tuition is 42,000, and the school figures your parents can pay 20,000, they'll pick up the other 22 grand. Once again, for a school like Williams, whose endowment is absolutely ridiculous, they can give out a good amount of aid. For other schools, not quite so much. Regardless, the majority of runners wouldn't be getting athletic scholarships anyway, and the ones who do would only get them at shitty D-I schools. Though the top DIII runners may not be able to compete with top tier DI, they can still compete with the vast majority of DI athletes, and there are some excellent programs in DIII for which it's easy to recruit for.

Legit? Is this for real?
Obviously Withrow is not going D3.
I was recruited by NYU back in the day. I really wanted to go to the school too and I didn't even know how successful the running program was. I guess I wasn't good enough for an "Academic" scholarship.

Why did he go D3 if he's running 46? Do you know about any other NYU recruits?
because NYU is one of the best schools in the country?
I heard he wanted to run for Georgetown but got screwed over so he decided NYU. Than he has a remarkable spring season and set basically all his prs. anyone confirm this?
Chrys Jones out of Mercer County, KY is going to Center College in Danville, KY.
He's the 5th ranked triple jumper in the US at 50'9". He's also a top 25 long jumper with 24'+ mark this season.
I wish him all the best. Good student and one of the best jumpers ever to come out of Kentucky.
