Final Fantasy VIII, IX, X
Cant beat some of the classics. In my opinion, busting out Super Tecmo Bowl, NHL 93 (for Sega), and the original "Ice Hockey" is a guaranteed good time.
We recently were having the debate of the optimal line-up for Ice Hockey. I always was a big fan of 2 Fatty's, 1 Medium, and 1 Small.
Goldeneye for Nintendo64 was amazing. The multiplayer part made that game a classic.
Goldeneye was really awesome.
For current games, I really like Rainbow 6 Las Vegas.
Zelda alone. Golden eye with others.
Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2
The Halo series. No other games are even close IMO.
How are there no games close to halo? Halo in MY OPINION is overrated.
The thread was asking what my favorite video game was...
Whats your favorite video game?...or do you just want to bash others peoples opinions
Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones (Gamecube)
Super Smash Brothers Melee (Gamecube)
NFL Blitz (Gamecube)
Tekken Tag (PS2)
GTA San Andreas (PS2)
I have not played too many video games lately, but some of my past favorites were Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, Final Fantasy 8, Tomb Raider 3, and Street Fighter 2.
NES
Mike Tyson's Punchout
Battletoads
Contra
Superspike V-Ball
Nintendo World Cup (and the dodgeball game in this same series)
Megaman 2&3
Duck Tales
PS1 and PS2
Metal Gear Solid
Any of the Grand Theft Auto games (especially Vice-City)
FFXII
SEGA
NBA Jam
Street Fighter II
Mortal Kombat 3
Halo multiplayer, especially with 16 player CTF games, blew my mind back when it came out. Yeah, you could play games that large on the PC before then, but having 16 dudes in a basement fiercely competing and strategizing was something else. NCAA football tournaments were also a good time.
For the PC, the original Delta Force was a good time too. I still don't know how you could play on huge 100 player servers with everyone using a 56k connection. I was an animal with the .50 though. For (somewhat) current games, I'm a fan of BF2, and I've always liked any tactical shooter like the Ghost Recon and Rainbow Six games.
Clearly its the Madden series. You get the excitment of a great football game along with the infamously stupid comments John Madden makes and the brillian play-by-play of Al Michael. The best games were before the Michaels / Madden to MNF era though when Pat Summerall was on the game.
come on Mario Kart 64
Final Fantasy 4-7
Metal Gear Solid 1-3, especially 1
Super Mario Kart
Super Metroid
The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past and the Ocarina of Time
Street Fighter 2 Turbo: Hyperfighting
Xenogears
I gotta agree with the Halo folks out there. The first one with the multiplayer came out and was jaw dropping. The Halo 2 storyline sucked but the detail in the game and the lighting was unreal. I'd recommend playing it on a 360 console honestly.

GoldenEye was good, but Duke Nukem definitely got more playtime for me. Was a blast playing with my sister and the neighbor kids 4 controllers.. I just thought the attention to detail on it was awesome, I mean everything down to the light switches were functional.
