Good for him that he's running, but I know that I will never be able to trust his results again...That's sad, but somehow I believe that someone who has cheated will cheat again.
The Hellebuycks have been cheating for years , the still keep doing it and they will never learn from their mistakes. They are stubborn and Stupid.
I heard that his wife is now managing a group of Russian women who are suspected users of PEDs. Any truth to that claim?
Does Leonid Shvetsov ring a bell, He is a good friend and confidant of the Hellebuycks.
You guys are vicious....I'm sorry.....but the Once a cheat always a cheat allegations are ridiculous and totally unfounded and could warrant slander unless you actually have proof that he's taking something....
Let's see--he outsprinted his 11 yr old kid to run a 20:59, must be that EPO.
If he starts running 14:20s and his kid runs 15:00 at 14, you'd wonder, but at this level it just sounds like a dad running with his kid.
need i say more?
where is teddy mitchell these days?
i heard he got 10th at some race in arkansas that benefitted homeless people. supposedly he ran with a buddy from ireland. i dunno.
Teddy ran the Shamrock 1/2 marathon on Sunday, finishing in 1:19:51. He may have run it as a workout, or he may have paced Deeja for the first 10 miles or so before letting her go. Deeja finished as fifth female overall in 1:18:06. I think there were some other Albuquerque runners there as well, but I don't know if they were affiliated.

Vicious or not, hasn't a major topic on this board been running and it's image? Here we have an example of an individual who cheated, got caught, and his only reaction to his suspension is, "I'm appealing it." As clean runners who want to be a part of a respectable sport that still isn't completely clean, I see no reason for any of us to step in and defend him. In fact, he should be outcast from the sport -- including as a coach. Only after he admits his cheating should the discussion of letting him back in even be considered.

I did hard time for crimes I did in the past. I learned and truly repented. I know I will never do what I did again. I do believe a man can change his ways.

No one knows him outside of his region and this forum anyways.
