I believe Allen also popped a low 2:20s in the marathon alone. Speaking of Mark Allen, I give the guy props for having know issues with running the marathon leg of an Ironman in a thong speedo bikini.

Looks like Bill Frist edged Al Gore in the 1997 Marine Corp Marathon (by 4 min.) in a blazing 4:54.
Did Page run a 3:22 while an active player or did he run his first marathon while still playing? I searched a bit but couldn't find anything. I know he has run some ultra's too.
AS John Kerry used to say, "Those guys are fags! You'll never beat my time at Boston!"
I revised the "times to beat" list by adding a few more names to get a better distribution of times. For reference, I also added the times you need to get into the various corrals at the Chicago Marathon, some BQ times for major age groups, as well as the times you need to bypass the lottery for the NYM. The world records are there as well as the Oly Trials Q'ing times.
I did not want to make the list too big and selected runners/bench marks based on name recognition and based on where there were big holes in the list.
Dancing with the Stars/Saved by the Bell's Mario Lopez's time would not qualify him to run Boston as an 80 year old woman.
I even added William Jurena's PR from 2003, which put him just add ahead of Lance Armstrong on the list, as well as Rosie Ruiz's time from her win in Boston in 1980.

He did run his first marathon while playing football. I don't think it was anywhere near 3:22.
I remember seeing something on him training for a marathon after he retired from football, and he was at least 100 pounds lighter than his football weight.
"Supermodel Kim Alexis, New York City Marathon 2006 (4:25:04)"
Just curious as to whether there were a lot of guys who finished in the 4:25:10 range?
Along the same lines, I ran 1:23ish at the Hospital Hill 1/2 marathon last spring, when it was the national 1/2 marathon championship for women. The first mile was the most beautiful site I have ever seen.

What was Al Gore's time when he ran Boston? Or was that John Kerry?
Whichever one it was, they couldn't remember what year they ran it and couldn't remember what his time was.
What's up with that?
That crazy kid Mike Dukakis- I believe he was only 17 when he ran that marathon. His cross country coach was pretty mad when he found out (he also lettered in tennis and basketball). He had to lie on his application as you had to be 18. A real pity about 1988. He would have been a good prez.

That was John Kerry. He said he ran it, did not know when and did not know his time. But he is not the kind of guy who would lie to get votes so...
Lynn Swan has to be happy, his time barely beats Oprah's. Almost every 1st time marathoner I know looked up Oprah's time to have a goal to beat. They all SAY they just want to "finish" the 1st one, but it is is finish AND make sure they beat Oprah. Think about it, Lisa Ling has to run around knowing that even though she is much younger and thinner she got beat by Oprah.
Don't forget the Runaway Bride - Jennifer Wilbanks. She ran a 4:21 ??? in 2002 in Chicago.
Then she went all "ultra" running on us and ran all the way to Arizona.
Who is Pam Reed?

She's an elite ultra runner. Wins a lot of the big ones.
Haha, Kerri Strug 4.12. Did she hop around?
Laurent Jalabert ran 2:55:15 at NYCM 2005... the real reason why Lance wants another shot at NYCM.

Oh well. With no chance of qualifying for Boston, I guess he'll have to fall back on his second choice of being a wealthy rockstar.
Should Jacob the Wisconsin Bee Keeper's time be added to the list at a 9:30 ish.
David Lee Roth's 6 hour time needs someon behind him.
