London like everyone else
He's a pussy afraid of a little cold and snow, just like Hall.

I know you're being sarcastic, but anyone that ran in Athens must have a donkey d1ck. That heat must have been miserable.
"Hey, go race for Olympic marathon gold on a hilly as hell course in fuggin insufferable temperatures, with attacking religious leprechauns."
I guess the "showdown" race dot com better take Meb out of the mix.
No excuses.
Buster has been putting too many ideas in his head about how bad Boulder is.
umm hall is not running because of weather reasons he is not running because he wants to kick ass in london
No reason why he can't do both. Pussy.
Couple of reasons jump to my mind.
Mammoth is a pretty long way from a decent-sized airport, making travel to/from Boulder a longer day that I might face coming from NJ (which is about 5 times as far away). And I don't know if you've trained for a marathon, but p---ing away the 4 or so days to travel and race makes a big difference the Flora London Marathon 9 weeks away.
Plus, if he were to make the team, maybe he is not interested in even-longer travel to-and-from Kenya -- right during the peak marathon trainign weeks -- only about a month before ANOTHER long trip to London.
And if that's the case, for a guy whose livelihood depends in part on being a likable promotional vehicle, making a US team (potentially winning the nat'l championship) and then declining the invitation to represent the USA in international competituion may not look too palatable and might run him into a "bad guy" rather than a "good guy" real quick. "Bad guys" don't get good endorsement or appearance pay. Hey, the guy's gotta feed his family.
Poor excuse. Hall flew to Millrose just to hold bags for the wife. CO is much closer to CA than NY is
When you run as fast as Hall, you've earned the right to choose whatever races you want.
Also, when you can lay down 4:33 miles for a half marathon, your immune to criticism about your toughness. I say this not as an opinion but as a fact.
Case closed.
Knew he was in NYC last week. But -- without presuming e;d win but he sure has got to be among the favoprites to do so -- I guess I'm thinking it's more weighted toward "not wanting to look bad by skipping worlds (for marathon reasons) after winning the US trial race." Like Agassi used to chirp, "Image is everyhting."
He wouldn't look so bad because Ritz, Torres, Culpepper, and other big names will be skipping WXC, too.
They're drug testing
Joe,
What about his achilles? Just wait till all the lil fella's get their heart broken. I know that you don't know what I am talking about now, but you will.
Meb's brother released a statement today saying that Meb had a severe cold and had missed some key workouts last week. So...he's sort of reconfiguring things and of course emphasizing London.
Bull shit. Last week the entries were already in and there was no Meb entered. He must of predicted he was going to get sick and therefore didn't enter.

Kind of like how they drug test at the Olympics or US champs. Idiot.
I heard that he pulled out because he didn't want his donkey dick dragging in the snow. When it melts and refreezes it can cause some serious chafing.
