I was reading some 1961/62 Track and Field News today and was amazed at the times of 17-18 yr old Canadian Bruce Kidd. He ran 2Miles in the 8:30s and a 13:17 3 mile, beating runners like Schul, Truex, M. Hallberg and other world class distance guys! He had a ferocious kick (mid-50s last quarter often in 2M,3M/5K races) beating Schul, occasionally, who was no slouch! He raced often, fast, and inevitably got injured. Weren't his performances at least equal to Pre's at a similar age? (Like Pre, it seemed that Kidd was afraid of no one!!) Did he run well, or at all, in Tokyo '64? Calling all Canadians.........eh!
