I would ask him what coach today he is most impressed with and why ?

How did Pre become the most overated disantce runner?
How did Nike become the most overated sneaker co.
Why are HS kids in love w/ Pre?
What sucks more Nike or Oregon?
Bowerman would pee on you.
I'd ask him to make me a waffle.
where is that waffle iron now? it'd fetch a packet on ebay.
Did you ever kick Pre's ass and did he ever kick yours?
I'd ask him how does it feel for his Men of Oregon to have played second fiddle to the Lads of Villanova...
I'd ask him for a discount price on some Nike stock.

To answer all of your questions in order.
By over acheiving and taking chances. Something rarely seen today and by anyone.
Marketing my friend. That and Michael Jordan. But mostly, marketing.
The love him because of his guts, something they aspire to have and feel could make them better
You suck more. And Pre hates you too.

Given a reported VO2 Max of 84, shouldn't Pre have excelled in VO2 max events - yes and he did. How is that overachiving? Olympic Medals? I guess you missed Gomes taking a chance yesterday or Ritz taking a chance to step up to the Marathon. How bout Bob Kennedy gunning for a sub 13 5k?
I agree - its all hype / marketing and Pre is a part of that in the running shoe dept.
HS kids are stupid. They love him b/c there were a recent movie about him followed a marketing campaing. The same kids probably went out and bought Johnny Cash and Ray Charles CD after the success of those movies, even though they were legends for years.
I do suck more, but no one is overating me or supporting a piece of crap company b/c of me.
I do talk to Bowerman everyday. Sometimes Pre
joins in on the conversation.
If you could talk to yourself what would you say?
Does it get hot in there and do those worms tickle?

Overachiving counts in times when you don't win too. He was gutsy. He broke races open with his guts. He challagned the AAU with his guts. He lived his life with his guts. He was a maniac on and off the track--that is a hard balance. And the last time I checked Bob Kennedy didn't die in the prime of his career in the prime of the running boom. HAd he done so, the movie/book would have been called, "Bob" and not "Pre"
I'm glad that we agree on the Nike marketing thing.
HS kids are easily swayed, but that does not make them stupid. I'm sure that in your life you caught on to something after the fact...say it be Shakesphere or something like that. I wasn't aware that there is a "timeline" in order to like something.
You call Nike a crap company, BUT you are fooling yourself if you think for one second that Nike didn't didn't have an impact on what ever shoe company you chose to endorse on your feet, shits, shorts, life!

In a glass case in his family's home.
Bill,
If you could give me a paltry $1 million, you could change my life for the better.
Fork it over....please.
without a doubt, he would tell you Lydiard.
What's death like and what comes after it? Never had the chance to talk directly with anyone who's been through it before.
This is the remix edition
it's a song about pissin

I saw it in a glass case at Niketown in Portland about two years ago. There may be more than one, or they could have moved it to the family's house, but it "was" at Niketown.
Is there a rule against attaching a helium balloon to yourself while running a road race?
Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
How rare is it to run a sub 5 minute mile AND bench press 225?
Jakob Ingebrigtsen has a 1989 Ferrari 348 GTB and he's just put in paperwork to upgrade it
Move over Mark Coogan, Rojo and John Kellogg share their 3 favorite mile workouts
Mark Coogan says that if you could only do 3 workouts as a 1500m runner you should do these
