I was proud of my yesterday Beach Run.
I had just watched FOX Sports Nets coverage of the San Jose Rock and Roll half and I am watching this Kenyan Duncan Kibet Adjusting Jewelery around his neck going through the 10 in 2749 like a walk in the park. He won the race in 1 hr 26 secounds.
I usually run this 7.5 mile beach run in about 65 minutes but I was thinking about this cool kat kenyan ripping through 425 miles like a walk in the park and I just inspired to run a bit faster but not hard and to run exactly the same amount of time Kibet did but for this shorter distance ofcourse. I GPS'd 60.22 avg pace 7.59. When I got to the bluff I ran the last mile at 636 pace.
Now this still being an easy run for me as far as heart rate, but it was inspiring that just putting a differn't mental focus I was able to have psychologically better result on a training run.
