I disagree. If a team isn't racing all out, you can't worry about this. I'm sure the guys were doing a medium effort race. The top two may have gone medium hard. If you are basing your assumptions that BORO will win because of this past weekend, well then, you are an idiot. Weiss is the best hands down. I think Reagan will get second at regionals. Bluman and Geddis are better than the BORO 3-4. Boro may have their 5 ahead of whoever steps up for the Rock, but it won't make up for being beaten at spots 1-4. |

my concern with your opinion there is that at a national meet that 5th guy can cost the team a lot of points. At regionals it may not be as bad due to the lack of competition but if their 5th guy is behind it could cost them the difference between 5th and 10th, this of course is all just talk because they haven't ran all out yet. but in general that 5th man is the most important when it comes to a high placing at national meet, yeah its nice to start out with a few points up front but if your 5th man scores 150 pts by himself that is not good. Good luck to SRU and Boro though and any other team that want to get the conference some extra spots for Nats next year! |

I think the results will speak for themselves....Again for the 20th time...yes the weather gets crazy and makes thinsg difficult but it has not stopped the GOOD edinboro runners from running well. So it should not even be an issue so stop bringing it up....maybe he wasnt whining but he was still making weak excuses. As recently as 2006 Three members of the girls team were All-American in Track. In the 5k (8th), 10k (7th) and the steeple (3rd). In 2005 a member of the mens team was 8th in the 10k.... |

The thing is... I don't think that their 5 man is bad. They have a ton of guys on their team and I am sure that a few of them are 15:30 types. A 15:30 guy (or better) won't kill you as a #5 at a national meet. |
